I personally don't like the PS3 controller because R2 and L2 aren't buttons anymore and your fingers slip of when pressing them. Its such an oily controller.

It's a fez. I wear a fez now. Fezes are cool, just like bowties.

This. The original Dualshock was solid, sturdy, and just felt great. It even smelled good. The DS3 just feels too flimsy and slippery.

I also think that the PS controllers are some of the most overrated controllers ever. I always get hand cramps when I use them.

Doesn't it?
Gregor's big manly hands do not appreciate the baby oiled controller.

1. Gamecube: All the buttons are placed evenly around the right side, it fits great in your hands, the L and R triggers feel good to press/click down (even if they're a bit noisy), all the buttons can be identifyed without looking down at them, and overall its just the perfect controller!

2. Wii: Sure motion-controlled gaming isn't for everyone, but the Wii remote was and is revolutionary.

It changed how many genres of games can be played. I personally can't go back to a regular controller for first-person games after playing Metroid Prime Trilogy, Red Steel 2, Goldeneye 007, and Conduit 2.

Not to mention how easy it made games playable for anyone age 5 to 85. It brought the whole family into the same room and could all play videogames together.

3. Wii U: Ok, its still a little early, but I can tell that there'll be games in the future for Wii U can offer a more unique experience.

Just playing Batman Arkham City: AE and Nintendo Land showed me just how different the Gamepad can be used for games as opposed to a regular controller.

Wii U will surely have some big hits in its lifespan.

In order Xbox 360 controller, Super Nintendo controller, Gamecube controller.
360 it's just a good controller so close to being perfect and apparently Microsoft is working on making it better with the Xbox one so damn. Although I really don't believe the whole millions went into designing the Xbox One controller story. From the descriptions I read it just looks like a 360 controller with some minor adjustments to the parts that weren't as great.
The Super nintendo controller mostly love it for nostalgia not gonna lie and just looking at it looks cool.
Gamecube controller was a good controller also the best way to play smash bros brawl and it was good enough for 2 gens so it's good enough for me

xbox controller. yeah you heared me right. i liked that thing a lot !

and i hate dualshock controllers. i played so much PSX back in the day but seeing how they literally stopped wprking on the controller makes me angry. it is still the same thing, which was great back then but after seeing how MS and nintendo evolved the dualshock became lame

I don't know about you guys, but as flawed as the Virtual boy is I find the controller to be a bit underrated IMO. The Shoulder triggers were the best of the Nintendo "handheld" line and dual D-pads were unique. Even if some would have preferred them to be analogs, they worked really well for most of the games in the VB library(aka 8 of them).

Other controllers I liked were the DS3 which felt natural on the hands, the Megadrive's smexy shape and the vetrex's novel emulation of the tabletop arcade style layout.

Still my favorite controller of all time. Heck even when I see them at the retro store or a garage sale or even Goodwill I snatch them up. In fact I prefer the Wavebird over the controllers that are packed in with the Gamecube. In fact the only controllers I have for the Gamecube are Wavebirds.

Untitled

This is my second favorite controller. I just like the feel of it. It felt alot sturdy then the PS3 and even the Wiimote. Its very well built. The only down side I have with this controller is the horrible Dpad. Glad they fixed it later one.

Untitled

To me the PS2 controller was the perfect blend of retro gaming controllers and modern. Their Dpad IMO was second only to Nintendo's their button placing was similar to the SNES button layout and the analog sticks were nice for 3D games. My only gripe was how close the analog sticks were to each other. Its nice to see that the PS4 spreads them out a bit.

As far as prototyped controllers went I always liked

Man if that was the final product for the the PS3 I might have bought one then.

It's a tight battle between 360, Gamecube and Wii U Pro Controller. Gamecube was awesome, but over time my opinion of it has deteriorated a bit; now that my hands have grown it just doesn't feel like it was built specifically for me anymore. 360 has better analog sticks and shoulder pads than Pro, but Pro's design fits my hands better.

Ultimately one point wins it for Pro; the placement of the analog sticks. It feels astonishingly natural. I must wonder why no-one ever used that specific design before.

Oh, and Dualshocks are terrible. Just terrible.

This baby right here is the best.

Recently, I've held this

and can't decide which one is the absolute best.

The factors that break it for me are the ZL/ZR buttons on the Pro Controller and the Options and Share buttons on the DS4.

The digital triggers on the Pro Controller mean racing sims won't work. I don't care, but other people do and, ultimately, it will affect what can go on the Wii U.

The Options and Share buttons on the DS4 just feel kind of awful to me. Not just that, but they are in a different spot from the Start/Select buttons on previous controllers thanks to the touch pad and that's a little weird.

I own a PS1, GBA, GBA SP, Wii (GCN), 360, 3DS, PC (Laptop), Wii U, and PS4.
I used to own a GBC, PS2, and DS Lite
