Topic: Worst Way You've Been Spoiled

I don't think there's any one instance that stands out as uniquely egregious, but I suppose for a recent example, I was spoiled on Quaxly's middle evolution due to a Twitter profile pic of all things.

Granted I didn't like the mon when I saw them in-game anyway but man that took the wind out of my sails with that line for a while.

Don't remember the specific example but the situation of an event announcing a sequel to a game currently being played which contains spoilers to that game. I remember making sure I had beaten Bayonetta 1 and 2 before Game Awards 2018 because of this given it seemed likely at the time that there'd be a Bayonetta 3 story trailer.

Another way I got spoiled, which was 90% my fault, was I was scrolling the Demon Slayer fandom, casue I wanted to know Tanjiro's age, and the fandom page didn't say it had any spoilers, so dumb 12 year old me thought it was safe. Well, it straight up spoiled something about Tanjiro.

A Youtube thumbnail shortly after the release of Metroid Dread spoiled the return of a certain enemy type. To be fair, I had a pretty good idea they were coming back but it was still such a bummer. My pre-ordered copy was super late too so this only added salt to the wound.

I wasn’t really mad when this happened, since I like spoilers, but some kid in my coding class yelled out that iron man dies in endgame. He did this the day after it released.

@blindsquarel That's actually kind of hilarious bc back when I was in Jr High someone shouted Iron Man Dies the day after release. In my coding class too, the parallels man.

Xenoblade Twitter had this awful cover up where everyone was all 'OMG chapter 5 ' and that sorta prepared me for that. Looking through the game's soundtrack also spoiled some... Hero identities.

Yeah, while I don’t think the kid getting beaten up was right, he brought it on himself.

Andy Richter on Conan O'Brien's show spoiled the ending of The Sixth Sense on purpose, as a joke, I think it was just about to be released on DVD.

It was a depressing evening.

What about the banners hanging over UK motorways announcing that Dumbledore dies in the Half Blood Prince, that was NATIONAL NEWS

My sister was looking at something sometime, and saw a spoiler for something I was interested in, and saw fit to just tell me the spoiler and say she didn't know it was a spoiler, despite how obviously spoiler-y it was.

In the lead-up to Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince, I thought it would be funny to come up with fake spoilers for my friends. My fake spoiler of choice: Snape kills Dumbledore

My friends were not best pleased my this, and I ended up getting spoiled by my own fake spoiler...
