Crazy glitches in kid Icarus uprising like once the match wouldn't start so I just stood there in the stage... Then I hear the dying sound effect and look at the bottom screen and see that my teammate died and I'm just confused, and he wouldn't respawn and then my other teammate died, then someone on the other team died then another guy on the other team, then it's just me and one other guy then it's just like nothing's happening so I sit there and finally I get sent back to the menu and get a error message. Yeah.
If that's not creepypasta material then I don't know what is. Quickly! Claim your cart is possessed!
In Mario Kart when people select the same course that we've just been on (especially when it's Rainbow bloody Road).
This. I had a game where we played Luigi's Raceway 4 times before I just quit trying and left the game. This was MK7, where rainbow road is easy, but I'm terrible at the SNES version, so, that would suck.
I am Grodus. I will kidnap YOUR princess for the Shadow Queen, too!
Some guy had an automatic unlimited amount of Blue Shells in Mario Kart Wii. Meaning Mr. Hacker would sometimes blast himself as if (s)he's team rocket. And this happened every 5 seconds.
I've also had some bad experiences in Goldeneye, including unlimited OddJob hats, guns that shot grendades, and one match I would get teleported into a random spot every few seconds.
The guns shooting grenades thing actually happened to me in Call of Duty: World at War (Wii). I found it less annoying, and more hilarious (it's not like it gives any one person an advantage, since it happens to everyone).

It actually did scare me a little, mainly cuz I just watched videos about BEN, but still.
Trading over the GTS in Pokemon. It often goes like this:
"I think I'd like a Bidoof. Let's see what people are wanting for their Bidoofs."
7 Trainers come up. "Sweet!"
The first 5 are asking for level 9 or under Reshirams. "Okay... I don't have one of those."
The next one is asking for an Arceus, any level. "Any level? Well that sure is reasonable."
The last one is asking for a Bidoof, level 100. "$@*#!!!"
To be fair, depositing a pokemon and asking for a reasonable trade is almost always successful. Searching for a trade is just so poorly designed though. Let me see all of the potential trades, not 7 stupid and/or impossible ones. Is it really so hard, Gamefreak?
Where my friends and I usually get stupid:

I agree - the way they've set it up is so frustrating. There's literally no point to the GTS when the stuff that comes up in a search is impossible for you to satisfy without hacking (e.g. all 8 people wanting lvl. 9 Reshiram/Zekrom).
I used to have a blog link here. I'll put it back up when the blog has something to read.

Agreed, the search feature is awful. However, I've found that if I deposit Pokémon, I get about an 80% success rate (I take Pokémon off GTS if a trade hasn't happened after 2-3 days). Got a few decent 'mon that way
People who use Genra in Dead or Alive Dimensions, and continuously spam ranged attacks, making it tough to get to them. As a boss character, Genra is the only character in the game (besides maybe Tengu) who has ranged attacks.
Just to point out how tuff it is to overcome, I use Genra in the Spotpass challenges this way (since I'm not actually facing another person), and it's ultra easy to beat challengers with a rank of A or S this way.
