I wanted Zelda Wind Waker for my Wii, I payed about $75 for a new copy from Media Recovery (a vendor from Amazon) in the USA. The game comes, in great condition, but I'm scratching my head when I open it. You see, I have bought lots of games in my day, and Nintendo's always come with lots of little don't sue me precaution booklets holding my hand. This had nothing .... just the game and instruction booklet. it does not look fake, the corners of the booklet is kinda worn, but not really, like it was a resealed gutted Gamestop copy, it did have a weaker looking corner seal to the factory shrink wrap, almost hand made, but passable authentic due to possible age. the disc itself looks ok, hard to read gold print, but no scratches.
So have I been ripped off? is this used, a fake, or a factory error. What should I do if anything. Well I will test it out tonight for playability I guess.
Yeah, I got several "new" games like that. It sounds like you got a resealed copy instead of an actual new copy. I suggest contacting the vendor and see if you can get your money back. You probably won't, but you can try.
the funny thing is the disc itself looks immaculate from my brief inspection, I don't think its repolished, however the instruction booklet is such I'm the missing bits... yeah I'm thinking it's a resealed gutted copy, in which case I'll keep it because really where else can I buy it like.....
correct me if i`m wrong. but, did nintendo used to put a seal with nintendo written in red around the middle of thier own brand games. besides, who really has a whole stock load of never opened games. i`d be hard pressed to believe a retailer would be selling them, legit. it`s only going to be the odd serious collector who may have those type of items.
I don't remember seeing that red seal thing in the usa . typically these amazon vendors are squatters on the old sealed games, hoping to make a few extra bucks.
Ok I am confused did you buy a Wii copy of Wind Waker or a Game Cube copy? Cause WInd Waker was never relased on the Wii just the GC. Yes I know GC play on the Wii but if this is in fact a "Wii" version that should be red flag.
Anyway if it is a GC version than I agree with Raylax just by the name it does sound like they refurbish old games. The only way you can open up a complaint is if the seller did state that it was a New unopened copy. "Like New," "Slightly New" etc. wont cut it.
Hopefully you didnt get ripped off and everything will work out.

It is possible you that it is a factory error. I once picked up a new copy of Metroid: Zero Mission that didn't come with a Club Nintendo registration leaflet.
No, I believe your contents are completely legit (Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't the first WW prints have a yellow cover, and the second prints came with a gold cover and "Player's Choice" at the top?). I bought my copy a few months ago used/like new for $20 on Amazon. (Still haven't played it yet, I still NEED to finish Excitebots) Generally, I buy games used. As long as it comes with most of the stuff and the game works, then why not save a little. From what I can tell, my disk is free of scratches, save a few scuffs or dust particles at the disk's edge! Also It came with all the paper, except for a Nintendo Power leaflet (the one which starts with "Ah"). My only complaint, is that the back of the case bears the gummy remnants of a retail sticker.
