Nintendo or Silicon Knights? Who's decision is it to make a new ED game?
Also, I read that Nintendo still owns part of Silicon Knights, so why are they making multiplatform games? Shouldn't they still be working exclusively with Nintendo?
To the latter - unless company A has a majority stake in the company B then it can't force company B to do squat. So if Nintendo only owns 10, 20 or 49 per cent of Silicon Knights, then Silicon Knights will likely be able to work with any platform.
Nintendo owns Eternal Darkness and also own the patent for the sanity effects. They do however only own a minority stake in Silicon Knights and I don't think they're too interested in buying more right now.

No because Microsoft or Sony could own a part of the company too.
