Minish Cap and Pokémon FireRed. I played those when I was very young on the GBA. However, they didn't get me into gaming. I got into gaming a lot later, but I don't remember when.

Pokemon Blue was the first game I owned (as in, my parents bought specifically for me and not my big brother) and played to death, but I'm not sure if it was the first one I played

There is nothing here...except for the stuff I just typed...

Zibene999

Kirby's Dreamland, which would later spark my love for Nintendo.

However, Sega and it's Dreamcast were the first to capture my heart and lead me into gaming.

I know I have answered this question before here. As I said before, the first game I played was a baseball game on an Atari my cousin owned. It was ok but the first game that made me a gamer was SMB on the NES.

Not sure about arcade games, but I first played Wave Race 64 at a Best Buy kiosk around 8 years old. It was the first purchase for my N64.

To be fair the game was a lot of people's first game ever. The most boring answer possible would probably be Pac-Man.

Thanks. But I think something like Pong would be worse.

Probably something on the Sega Master System because my older brother had one. A system which, believe it or not, actually sold as well as the NES in PAL regions. So either My Hero or Alex Kidd. Although my brother also had Chase HQ, Sonic 2 and Astro Warrior from what I can remember. I played a bit of all of them. I also played a few games on PC. Yay for DOS! I only remember a few of them. One Must Fall and The Lion King come to mind but I think they were a bit later. Captain Comic maybe?

I got my own console a couple of years later, first a Gameboy (my first two games were Mario & Yoshi, Donkey Kong Land) then a SNES (Super Mario Kart, Super Mario World). Those were the first games that were "mine".
