Topic: What was your 1st Switch game?

My first game was Pokemon Shield.

Breath of the Wild, bro!😠💪💪💪 HUUUGHH!!!! Switch launch, midnight release, March 3 2017.

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. When I first got the system, I already had Breath of the Wild, and the only other games were 3rd party ones I wasn't interested in, and 1 2 Switch, which I barely count as an actual video game..

@TheLightSpirit I hadn't bought a console since PS2 & Gamecube, and was totally in the dark on BOTW XD. I had no idea there was any positive buzz for it, and just bought it because Mario Kart 8 wasn't out yet. I'm not as hard core as my post sounds above So, I put BOTW in because, why not. I couldn't believe how good it was when I started playing it. It was so surreal. It was amazing.

It was ironic.
My 1st Switch game i bought was Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, but i neglected the game for more than 4 years.
I bought that game like a whim, now i realized i don't have any interest to continue the game. I thought i bought a wrong game for me.

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe was the first Switch game I had. I did get Breath of the Wild soon after though.

When I got my Switch in November 2017 I wanted to get Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, but getting the games was extremely difficult. So instead I bought Super Mario Odyssey, which was my first game on Switch.

Ultimately I got both MK8DX and ARMS for Christmas. I had played Breath of the Wild on Wii U bit didn't get it for Switch until mid-2018...

Mario Odyssey. Because I already played BOTW on Wii U so...the obvious choice by that point. I wanna say I bought it before I got a Switch even, like I got Smash Bros with the Switch but Mario Odyssey was a year old so I went for it first.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.

I also bought 1-2 Switch, but don't recall ever playing it with an actual person.

Bomberman.

I had got the Switch pre-ordered for launch day with Zelda but the day before I got an email saying my Switch order was cancelled so I ended up queuing for a midnight launch at a store to get a console. I finally get to my turn but they tell me you have to buy a bundle of console + game + 2 accessories although the guy told me winky wink style that I can return the induvial bits I don’t want back the next day. My Zelda order wasn’t cancelled so I had to buy something else and Bomberman was the best choice of a bad choices and I played it on the tube on the way home.

Weird to look back to launch day where that was pretty much the only thing to play!

Fast RMX, Shovel Knight Treasure Trove and Blaster Master Zero. Got BotW on Wii U at launch so at the time of getting my Switch (April 2017 but MK8 Deluxe wasn't out yet) I didn't see any point in double dipping BotW on Switch as the only thing it added was portable play meanwhile Fast RMX had tracks not in the Wii U version and Shovel Knight had timed exclusive content on Switch (Specter of Torment).

I did double dip on BotW a few months later as a result of Wii U framerate being very rough which the Switch resolves to some extent (BotW 2 will probably be similar where the base Switch framerate is very rough meanwhile the new Switch revision framerate is more stable).

I'd already played BotW on Wii U so I didn't get a Switch until Arms came out. I actually bought the game before I got a Switch so I had to content myself with staring at the (surprisingly small) box for a week or two.

Breath of the wild. Followed swiftly by Snipper Clips and MK8D for some multi player fun.

I got Smash Bros with my Lite as part of a bundle from the Nintendo online store. I had a choice of pretty much any game free with the system.

On reflection I should have gotten Mario Odyssey; the online for Smash is appalling!
