Nintendo fans don't want them but they're in our games anyway. Things that the game wants us to do that we normally wouldn't do - just to get a message saying we have done so or some other pointless reward. It doesn't count if its not saved as an achievement - collecting all the coins on a stage of NES Super Mario Bros doesn't count for anything for example, since thats just the player choosing to do so.
Mario Kart games want us to beat the staff ghost times.
Yoshi's Woolly World wants us to get all Yoshi yarn, flowers, stamp crystals and finish with full health in each stage.
Edgey, Gumshoe, Godot, Sissel, Larry, then Mia, Franziska, Maggie, Kay and Lynne.
I'm throwing my money at the screen but nothing happens!
By achievements, you're talking about tasks that are asked from you to get such a title. Collecting goodies and stuff isn't an achievement but rather more of a completion.
The only game that I can think of that uses achievements is Kid Icarus Uprising....other than that, nope.

Same thing, really. Just beating a stage is not enough, you have to find every little secret in the stage, and it be recorded in the game that you have done so.

Metroid Prime sort of had its own system. But they weren't really special since you could get them by just playing the game. I'd love to see some proper achievements for Nintendo games. Like "Beat the last Boss in Mario Galaxy 2 in less than x amount of time" or similar.

And Uprising, having been made by Sakurai, got it from Smash Bros.
If you add me, I need to at least know you or I won't add you back.
Xenoblade Chronicles, Super Smash Bros. For Wii U and 3DS, Kid Icarus, and Metroid Prime Trilogy are the only Nintendo games that I remember having a achievement system.
Daddy do you want some Sausage?
