I would say the Omega Cannon from Metroid Prime Hunters. Where ever the Omega Cannon shell explodes, it releases a massive instant death wave across that level of the Oubliette arena. Even if a player isn't killed by the sweep, the Omega Cannon's eerie white flash makes all players aware of its presence.
