Recently finished Metroid Prime Remaster.
Now started on Chained Echoes. I'm 5 hours in and really enjoying the pacing of this (J?)RPG. It's nice and fast and the depth of character building is satisfactory for me. Game feels well balanced. Great value so far!
I just found out that game pass on pc is a thing, don’t know how it took me so long with how actively I follow gaming-related stuff, but been enjoying the service a lot. Hi-fi rush and chained echoes are the first two I’ve taken for a spin, both very good first impressions. My laptop is showing its age but still handling it pretty well, I’ll enjoy my time with them for sure! So many games to try in game pass though, feels like a mini-heaven with how many of them I haven’t tried yet.
I keep buying fighting games for some reason, even though I barely got anyone to play against.
Just finished Metroid Prime Remastered. It was my first time playing Metroid Prime and I really loved it. I’m now making my way through Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow. It has also been a fantastic time and I feel silly for putting it off for this long.
Currently playing:
Life is Strange: True Colors
Cruis’n Blast
Castlevania Advance Collection
Been playing Animal Crossing: New Horizons recently. I got to play with a friend of mine a couple nights ago, we had fun visiting each other's islands and that got me in the mood to come back to the game. I wanna try to get more bugs and fish for my museum, I managed to get a couple new fish yesterday, and next time I play, I wanna try to go for whichever bugs I don't have yet. At least for this month, anyway.
And of course, more Mario Kart 8 Deluxe online races for good measure. My goodness... I can't stop playing it!

Starting Episode VIII of Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga. I figure two days to complete it and all side quests/kyber bricks available, and Episode IX I should finish by Thursday at the latest. It's been three weeks with the game almost, and being a completionist, I'm damn close to 100%. I've had fun but am looking forward to a palate cleanser game, so Kirby's Return to Dream Land Deluxe should serve perfectly in that regard once I finish Lego.
Dragon Quest VII: Fragments of the Forgotten Past (3DS) - 54 hours in. Still enjoying my time with this game, but I do admit it's quite a slow burn. I just picked up a new permanent party member (Sir Mervyn) and am partway through the Nottagen scenario. I think I'm halfway through now?...Maybe? My hope is to wrap this one up before Tears of the Kingdom launches, which I think is still a possibility, but I may be cutting it close....
Super Mario Advance 4: Super Mario Bros. 3 (Wii U VC) - Not my first time with SMB3, but this is my first time playing this particular version. I mainly picked it up for collection purposes but decided to play through it...and maybe try out those fabled e-reader levels while I'm at it. It's classic, tight platforming action, though Mario admittedly controls a bit floatier than I remember....I just finished the second world.
Currently playing: Pokemon Scarlet - The Indigo Disk, Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury (Switch)
I am currently playing Sonic Frontiers, It Takes Two, and Modern Warfare II on PlayStation 5, and I am playing Metroid Prime Remastered on Nintendo Switch. I have been having a blast with the variety of games I am currently rotating. A ton of gameplay value between all of these titles.
Well, got to max level with a Druid in the Diablo IV Beta, and will get the unique item for getting to level 20 in the beta. I sunk in about 15 hours this weekend with the game. I didn't want to stop to be honest but 1) The fact that I wasn't getting more XP and 2) I want to save some stuff for release made me stop.
Here's my thoughts.
Overall this game felt to me what Diablo 3 should have done at some point. I like the open world there is so much to do, in fact I didn't even do the main story (saving that for the release) Instead I did side quests and Dungeons. The open world really mad the series seem fresh and new don't get me wrong D3 is great but after being stuck in confined areas in the game it's nice being able to explore the world. I love the crafting system too big step up from D3. And the graphics where beautiful.
The main complaint I had and it's not with the game itself it was the class I picked. The Druid was a fun class to play but one big problem I was and maybe it was the build I did but trying the druids main way of attacking would use up the spirit without generating and the only thing that did was a Melee attack which meant standing around beating on adds when a boss is attacking you. Hopefully they will fix that before release.
I do love the skill trees, and love all the options, on top of that you can start your build right away unlike D3.
Playing a lot of Torna: A Xenoblade 2 story. So far, my opinion is that it has less of the highs and less of the lows of the main game, simple as that.
That being said, it does show the one positive of Xenoblade otherwise being a massive game. This game does not need so many cutscenes so close to each other. Please stop putting longer cutscenes with one minute of walking and practically nothing else between them (this is also a problem going from chapter 8 to 9 in the main game, its very silly and is a lesson on how not to pace story in a video game).
Metroid Prime Remastered (Switch) - Last made my way back to the save station at the start of Phazon Mines after acquiring the Power Bomb & Grapple Beam. The trek to get the Power Bomb is kinda infamous, so I'm glad to be past it.
Fatal Frame: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse (PS5) - Partway through chapter 2. Off the top of my head it seems creepier than Maiden of Black Water, but that might be because I haven't had to fight that many ghosts yet, so each one is still an event rather than coming off as one of many mooks that pop up every other minute. That & the fights seem more tense because so far they've all taken place in tight spaces like hallways or tiny rooms where you can't manoeuvre well (this part isn't a positive. The first time I had to fight multiple ghosts I died three times in a row since it was in a hallway & they were all over me). I do like that, in spite of being chapter based, there are also save stations dotted around the environment (Maiden of Black Water may have had auto saves at certain points within a chapter, but I kinda feel like I have to complete a section in one go if I can't hard save, so this alleviates that tension for me).
Currently Playing:
Switch - Blade Strangers
PS4 - Kingdom Hearts III, Tetris Effect (VR)
Been playing Advance Wars 2. This was one of the last games I got from the Wii U eShop, and my goodness, I keep coming back to it, lol. It is pretty challenging, but I've been making quite a bit of good progress.
