I had a close encounter of the Bindi Irwin kind last year. When my family and I were at Australia Zoo she walked straight past me! Highlight of that visit, believe me!

@Corbie I wish I could meet miyamoto. I've met Tom Baker (the actor of the fourth Doctor in Doctor Who) and got a signed photo and I also got him to sign my copy of the DVD of City of death.

There can only be one, like in that foreign movie where there could only be one, and in the end there is only one dude left, because that was the point.

It's like, I just love a cowboy
You know
I'm just like, I just, I know, it's bad
But I'm just like
Can I just like, hang off the back of your horse
And can you go a little faster?!
I saw Lil Wayne at a local theme park a few weeks ago.
I thought he went to jail!
Disneyland Jail.

Now that I'm thinking about, I've met (and performed with) Orbert Davis multiple times. He's a (semi?) famous jazz trumpeter who performs annually at my old middle school's spring jazz concert.
Martin Sheen and Tony Randall way back in high school after seeing Randall's production of The Crucible that Sheen starred in; our English teacher knew Sheen years back. Both great, very personable guys.
Layne Staley and Alice in Chains right before they really exploded on to the scene. Awesome guys, and they complimented my friend on his Bauhaus t-shirt, which was even cooler.
Joe Satriani (Long Island native and one of the greatest guitarists there is); awesome guy, he signed my Surfing with the Alien cassette which is still in a box somewhere around here.
Conan (O'Brien, not the Barbarian), after a taping of his late night show (probably the second season he was doing it); my friend's aunt was one of the costume managers on the show (and on Letterman's show before that). Conan was polite and a nice guy, clearly wanted to be done for the day and go home but took a minute to say some hellos.
Jerry O'Connell (coincidentally, the same day we met Conan), on the street in NYC on his way to a Brodway show with his mom (i assume, could have been some other older relative or something).
I think that's it, but i might be forgetting a few right now.
At the release of Super Scribblenauts I met the creator of the game, Jeremy Slazka (I hope that's how you spell it), and the artistic director who gave me some pointers for my strive to enter the game industry. But I guess they're really not celebrities...
I've also met Matt Groening (creator of The Simpsons), Brian Eno (singer), and Conan O'Brien (TV writer and talk show host)

My dad took me to a Garth Brooks concert when I was little, and I got his autograph. Ew, country music! My dad loves country, and back then I was sort of conditioned into liking it.
