Topic: Weird rumors you've heard about Nintendo

I hear a lot of weird rumors about Nintendo especially when I have my 3DS out in public or even bring up Nintendo. Some of them make a little bit of sense, some make no sense, and some of them are plain out stupid. Here are some I've heard.
Why can't I see the 3D? I answer this, usually annoyed. BECAUSE THE 3D IS OFF, The game in playing WASN'T DESIGNED TO BE IN 3D, or you're looking at it from the wrong angle, which is sometimes legit, but I've seen many people walk past me and glance over and say that.
If you turn up the 3D, DS games have better graphics. Ok, I got really confused on this question how he even came up with this. It made no sense. I had a DS game with me, and after arguing with him, I simply put in the cartridge, and showed it to him with and without the 3D. Probably the weirdest question about Nintendo I've ever received.

I say that Nintendo is at the top of the charts and the Vita is failing. "No it isn't!" Ok, you can't deny facts. Also, I've seen more people with 3DSs in public(idk, 5) than Vitas(zero). Plus, even without my observations, they are pretty low on the charts. I mean, the PSP is doing better than the Vita, and I don't even see PSPs in public.
The Wii U is a portable Wii. Ok, this I can see where it came from, but still... No.
Paper Mario and PiT and Bowsers inside story are part of the main Mario series. I ha to reply, if you have played Mario, you know that the Main(the Main, not the branches) Mario series consists of SMB1,2,Lost Levels,3,World,64,Sunshine,NSMB,Galaxy1&2,NSMBWii, and SM3DL(and soon to come NSMB2).
The 3DS is failing. My reply:it was, but um... Now it's at 17 million units worldwide in a little over a year?

I heard a rumor that Apple's gonna buy out Nintendo and make them churn out Angry Bird sequels every year from now until the end of time.

About a year ago I heard this rumor that despite being the best selling console this gen that Nintendo had made so many mistakes with the Wii that they would have to beat the competition to next gen. Now, I know Wii's had issues but surely with the 3DS just released this couldn't possibly happen. I'm sure they also won't show it at E3 a year early just to show how many 360 ports they have to appease the 12 year olds known as "hardcore gamers".

If Nintendo were to go bankrupt we'd see some signs about it. Instead, Nintendo is making one of their most riskiest moves ever, going digital.

edit: seriously, this video freaked me out. I still get goosebumps on the zoom-out with all the castles from Mario 64. The world of Mario 64 was so big to me when I was 8, so to see it zoomed off like that... it was way too psychedelic.

I have nothing of intrest, but i keep hearing rumors of Valve and Nintendo in the same sentence. I've heard that if Steam fails, Nintendo buys Valve and vice versa (as in if Nintendo fails, Valve buys Nintendo)

I've heard that Shigeru Miyamoto can only eat unflavored yogurt and three kinds of grass because otherwise his creative juices "become unjuicy." He conceived of Super Mario Bros. after a particularly bad case of indigestion from mushrooms.
I also heard that sometimes Satoru Iwata likes to walk into meetings without his pants on and then put his feet up on the table. He frequently asks female employees to clean between his toes with Q-tips and save them in a treasure chest.
Eiji Aonuma believes that Zelda would be a better series "if they just made them like those damn Elder Scrolls games." Once he got arrested for "smoking the good stuff."
Masahiro Sakurai used to hang from the ceiling because he believed it increased circulation to his brain. He had a plant he referred to as Moni'que and believed that he was married to said plant.
Koji Kondo frequently paces hallways in nothing but striped ladies undergarments, muttering to himself.

This is so completly fake. COMPLETLY FAKE. This guy doesn't have an uncle that works for Nintendo that created Mario, there isn't going to be a new Mario Bro named Dillon, this has "Fake" written all over it.

LOL whoever made that was stupid. And yes, if Miyamoto, Iwata, or Reggie says it is the only way we really know it's true. I just wanted to clear up the "legit" part of it, because 99% of the stuff posted on here is 100% fake.

I can't wait to play the Nintendo X! I hear it will feature mode 8 graphics, and will have stationary controls technology so you get extra points if you stay absolutely still and don't do anything. Will come with a sports game, where you play as the spectator.

I had that the Wii U is gonna have Wii graphics again and that Xbox 720 and PS4 will have Avatar graphics. I have uncles in all three companies, so you know I'm a reliable source.
