@Ralizah And for this reason, I doubt Zelda will be "rescued" in BotW 2 either. I feel like if she's separated from Link, there's a good chance the two meet back up at the final boss, and take on Ganondorf together. This way, they could probably make a DLC or side-mode where it's her exploring the underbelly of Hyrule.. assuming the fall didn't outright kill her.

I'll take it a step further; I don't just like Zelda's story, I really like Breath of the Wild's story overall. I haven't fully beaten any other Zelda games, so while BotW's story MIGHT pale in comparison to other Zelda games, I really enjoy it. I really enjoy the sense of loneliness and isolation, and since Link is shown to have minimal emotions, the game allows you to assume whatever you're feelings are towards the events of the story to also be Link's feelings. Overall, I love the theme of tragedy in the story, and how the game sees you unintentionally setting out to right wrongs that occurred hundreds of years ago without you the player not even knowing about for half of your first playthrough. Sorry for getting a bit philosophical.
I’m just gonna say it plain and simple. Breath of the wild does not deserve the fame it gets. It was a fun game and all but once you beat it there’s nothing to do except run around like an idiot. And don’t even get me started on the story.

I'm undecided if this is blatantly untrue, or is a complaint that could said towards the entirety of the genre, or arguably most games where you can freely explore in general.
@Slinkoy1 I enjoy running around aimlessly in BotW, and exploring areas I've never been before. I do think it's one of the weaker Zelda titles, compared to older 3D ones, but it's still pretty fun honestly, and I feel like I can get lost in it for hours.

For me, you just listed one of the best things about the game for me. I only had about 60 shrines and 50 koroks after beating Ganon for the first time, and had explored about 1/20 of the map. One of my favorite moments of this game was"running around like an idiot" with a stack of OP weapons and killing every Lynel in the game.
I don't understand the appeal of ACNH.
Yep...that's it!
ACNH is a life sim + building sim game.
It felt different when you compared with other games genre.
Life sim games is like Art lesson, RPG games is like Logical lessons + Literature, Action games is like Physical education lesson.
How did peoples like ACNH ?
Because it looks cute and fancy for someone who have interest with cutesy things and building sim games.
For peoples who have no interest with cutesy things and building sims, they will see ACNH as an uninteresting games because the game doesn't have anything they want and expect. It was like expecting an Art lesson should be as interesting as Logical lessons.
ACNH is not an RPG / Action Adventure / Strategy games so if you have no interest in ACNH, you will not find any interesting things from cutesy looking anthro animals and the joy of decorating of building exterior and interior.
And not everyone have interest to play in RPG or other genres. Some peoples can have a joy by decorating and customizing something in the games. It always like a Venn diagram situation.
@mantarobuster300
Okay, the reasons a lot of peoples like ACNH because the cutesy looking of anthro animals (and your character) and the terraforming aspect in ACNH caught attention for a lot of peoples. Even adult gamers still have interest to play with kiddie looking games because it was like they can revisit their inner childhood.
From the gameplay aspect, a lot of peoples like to play ACNH because they can terraforming their island as their imagination, decorating the island with certain furnitures or objects as their vision, it was like a fun activity to do. It was like a different goal from video games. When most peoples play the games to find the goal of beat the Final Boss and live happily every after, in ACNH the goal is shaping your island as you like and have fun with them like you are playing with Barbie or kids toys.
Maybe you can watch the gameplay of ACNH from Youtube, perhaps someday you might changed your mind and ready to get into ACNH.
@mantarobuster300 You don't need to wait for a day to pass to craft your tools/items. As long as your character has learned the DIY in question and you have all the required materials, you can craft it right away.

@mantarobuster300 Yeah no problem, and no worries. Just wanted to mention how New Horizons' crafting mechanic works. I remember Pocket Camp had those kind of timers, in that you gotta wait until a set amount of time while your stuff is being crafted. It's been a long time since I played it though. lol

Oh, in ACNH the crafting took several seconds to finish.
Once you read the DIY recipes, your character will instantly learnt it.
You want to play ACNH in fast pace like i did ?
Do Time Travel, exploit the items, getting villagers from campsite, kicking the unwanted villagers quickly by time travelling. You don't need to wait exactly 24 hours to see the progress of your town.
You have a power to change the time in game by adjusting the clocktime from your Switch. Change the time as you want and you will see the progress like you play Harvest Moon games by daily.
The mobile game is pretty different from the main series...
The normal games are more about relaxing and distracting yourself, having a little simple place, with little simple animal neighbors, and a little simple project to work towards.
