@arronishere: @diwdiws: Its obvious that marketing games on Mobile is hard and not as safe as PC gaming. Many developers fail to make profit on Mobile because its much harder to get the game known there compared to PC.

Seriously, will anything that I say even if its true end up being dumb? Because if that's the case, I think its more of an insult.

How PC gaming is safe - it's the same crap for indie like in any other industry.

Throwing away keys, codes or whatever and spamming it everywhere is the same way for indie gaming like with mobile.

@Dave24: Actually, there's a prediction that games will be harder to pirate from 2018 onwards. Piracy won't happen in mobile because its just not worth pirating mobile games when majority of them require online to play them.

Also, I'm talking about PC game marketing being safer than Mobile marketing because its just more flexible.

How is it more flexible? For indie it's all the same.

Piracy will be there, but for mobile it's not worth it, because not only online, but also the games are little cheaper, unless F2P.

@Vee_Flames: Yes, the graphics and music are better in the modern gen console Mario Kart entry than in the handheld versions. That goes without saying, and it is an unfair comparison to make given the difference in hardware strength. I agree that course selection is the best in the series as well, but that's only because of the DLC. I think most of the retro courses are more memorable and well-designed than most of the new courses. In terms of balance, item selection, physics, controls, modes, and other gameplay elements, MK8 is inferior. I still love it, though.

Here's how I'd rank the games I've played:
1) Mario Kart 7
2) Mario Kart DS
3) Mario Kart 8
4) Mario Kart: Double Dash
5) Mario Kart 64
6) Mario Kart Wii
7) Mario Kart (SNES)

@Socar Yes marketing games on mobile is hard, but that's true of almost any game that isn't Candy Crush, Clash of Clans or Call of Duty (The "Three Cs of Evil" if you will) or has a huge budget and focus-test homogenization.

EDIT or it's part of an existing, long-running IP. Or if it's by nintendo.

@MrMario02: I don't think Console/PC games are harder than Mobile. Wii U isn't doing really that great and yet somehow Splatoon ended up selling 4 Million copies.

Heck, Fates sold half a million in Japan alone.

@Ralizah: Well, you said "MK8 is inferior to MK7 and DS in almost every substantial way" and I didn't agree with that. Some of the retro courses are amazing, but that's because they always were amazing. And don't write off the Nitro courses just yet: Sunshine Airport, Mount Wario, Cloudtop Cruise, Shy Guy Falls and heck, even Mario Stadium are some of the best courses I've played in a Mario Kart game ever (I have many of those, but still ) Aaaand that is just a sample of the brilliant courses in MK8 (DLC courses. That is all) In short, I think Mario Kart 8 has one of the best course selections in a Mario Kart game. Might I add that they're beautiful, too.
I know that you guys have an opinion, and I respect that. Sorry if I came off as too rash to you and @CreamyDream. However, I don't think I can stand the opinion that MK64 is better than MK8. Wut.

God first.

@Vee_Flames: No, I agree, MK8 is vastly superior to MK64. Like I said, it's my favorite console entry in the series. And it definitely has some great courses. Cloudtop Cruise is probably one of my top 5 MK courses. Also, I think 200cc was an awesome addition.

I just get annoyed because it's flawed in some really obvious ways, and I want to love it more than I do. If Nintendo fixed battle mode, removed coins from the list of items, and reworked some of the Kart physics and controls, it'd be an almost flawless game.

@Socar: Well yeah FE Fates sold half a million in japan after the previous game was a huge success for TRPG standards. Also, there are people who bought both versions to get the complete story.

My unpopular opinion: Liking bloody, violent game doesnt make you immature it just mean you like them just like people who likes slasher films or horror flicks.

Doesn't make you mature either.

@shaneoh: did i say that it makes you mature? What im saying is liking a genre or form of entertainment doesnt contribute to a person being mature or immature.

@diwdiws: I was clarifying a point, not making a sarcastic remark. Your initial statement only focused on one end of the spectrum rather than a broad statement covering the middle and other end. Of course I can be sarcastic if you really want me to, if you really think it will help.

I'm was going to make a comment about horror and slasher films being different from each other with one focusing on atmosphere & scares whilst the other on gore but I'll save that for the other unpopular opinion thread.

Seasons feels more original, but Ages feels like we've done this game before.

Majora's Mask was always my favorite (even before it became cool). I loved the enigma of the entire game despite the plot seemingly being straightforward
