I love DOOM. It's just aggressive testosterone fuelled adrenaline injected straight into my veins but because it's aggressive testosterone fuelled adrenaline is why it should not be made palatable for kiddies. If they aren't capable of processing seeing a bit of blood then they aren't probably capable of processing the aggressive tendencies the game brings out in a healthy way.
Personally I think game should be made less “accessible” to realize what violence actually is. At the end of a Pokemon battle have the poor Pikachu be covered with blood and have shattered bones, make the options menu in Punch Out impossible to use as Little Mac has dementia which the boxing has given him, give the Call Of Duty army guys PTSD in the post game so they can’t keep a normal job and have a family after they leave the service and so the players have to sit through group therapy sessions talking etc.
@jump Kids don't need to see crazy hyper violence, it's not because they'll repeat it, it's because it can do legit mental damage. Violence is not a good thing for any age.
I honestly can't tell if you are joking or are serious, because you have done "jokes" on serious things before.
@Eagly help me find the words please my friggin dysgraphia is acting up again.

I'm sure this is simply unsaid rather than unpopular: I hate it when "accessibility" is used to mean "inoffensive." To make content accessible means that you have no obstacles in experiencing it, not that you make it "safe" for everyone on the planet to consume. To make Doom accessible is to make it so that whether you have impediments to normally sense or control the presentation, there are means of making it easier for you to enjoy the game as intended, like different control schemes or sensitivities, colorblind and high contrast visuals, force feedback or subtitles in place of audio cues, etc. To make Doom bloodless is missing the point: it's unbridled carnage against hellspawn and the hijacked remains of their victims, resulting in spilling oceans of blood and megatons of gibs. Though how Doom 3 handled it with burning the remains like vampires in Buffy is a neat way of doing too. If you mean accessibility by making a German-safe version of Wolfenstein where all the NSDAP symbolism is removed and all humans are replaced by aliens, robots or mutants that bleed green, it's simply silly and makes the game something it's not supposed to be. I'm not there to destroy the property of a rando XX-marked organization with suspiciously massive industrial and military capabilities, I'm there to slaughter na*is for the safety of the free world. And I'm there to giggle at every "Mein Leben!" and would be disappointed if it were replaced with "Beep, beep!"
At the end of a Pokemon battle have the poor Pikachu be covered with blood and have shattered bones, have a mini game in Punch Out where Little Mac has to figure out how to open a box of cereal as he has dementia which the boxing has given him, give the Call Of Duty army guys PTSD so they can’t keep a normal job and have a family after they leave the service etc.
Have you read that one Pokemon manga? Cuts actually cut.
An Ippo simulator would be cool, a Japanese style boxing gym manager where you have to give your boxers time to recover from their fights and look for signs when it's necessary to retire them for their own good.
Then there are works like Spec Ops: The Line, which deals with minds breaking under the stresses of combat.
@Kermit1 I am not the one advocating for crazy hyper violence on the topic. I’m saying that blood doesn’t equal violence and removing blood is just an attempt to make the violence more kiddy and acceptable.
Hannah Montana and Barbie franchises should be revived on modern consoles.
I will buy those games if there is PS5 version in smooth 60 fps and acceptable gameplay.

@Rambler It is also propaganda for this "evolution" theory too, it's disgusting the lengths these scientists will go to feed their fake news to children.
Ok, not an opinion on a game itself, but this will offend frequent video game players. Controllers with cheap parts are fine if you use them right, everything I own is cheap trash, but I'm dcent at games.

I think I started to lose my hype with Switch after almost 5 years I have Nintendo Switch machine as I saw more bad business practice from Switch (live service updates) , partial download games and the downgraded performance for 3rd party games with some of them have unacceptable quality.
But my hype with 3rd party PS4 games got boosted during this year as I felt more satisfied to play the 3rd party games on PlayStation version than Switch version so I don't need to pay more expensive price for Switch version with half baked games.
I just being realistic after I have PS4 Slim for 4 years and I can consider more and more PS4 games for my collection until I have to separate my PS4 games collection into two groups due to limitation of PS4 internal HDD and the PS4 game size, it made me having less desire to get Switch games despite I still want to support them.
After I started to lose my hype with Switch, I rewrite again the list of upcoming games I want to buy so I moved all the 3rd party multi console games to PS4 / PS5 version so I will not pick the Switch version for the same games as I only buy the games once, unless if the games are really good on both Switch and PS4 version.
So, my PS4 / PS5 games on my list are consist 99% 3rd party multi console games (kids games only with very very few rated Teen games like Cobra Kai) with just only Ratchet & Clank games as 1st party Sony games I have interest about. And even after I gave more games for PS4 / PS5, my Switch games (by total including the not yet purchased) on my list still have more than 100 titles so by giving more games for my PS4 / PS5 games library, they can have bigger games quantity as my Switch games.
So far on my list, I have written more than 90 PS4 games (omg) and my target is getting until 120 PS4 games and I have to separate into two groups (Group 1 with my Top 60 PS4 games on my PS4 Slim, Group 2 with my Top 61 - 120 PS4 games on another PS4 machine).
And for my PS5 games, it was crazy that I could accumulated almost 50 PS5 games on my list before even I have PS5 machine yet.
I still have only 4 PS5 games, cannot play the games yet so they will be played in the future once I get PS5 machine.
My hype with PS4 games is already high and PS5 games hype will take over on me once I get PS5 machine.
Both my hype with PS4 & PS5 games have eclipsed my hype with Switch games currently.
I'm starting to feel battle royale is more casual than what it's portrayed to be, a serious competitive game. Yeah, ranked modes exist for the more competitive players, as someone who plays casual modes in Apex and Realm Royale, I like I can play for a bit, try to get some eliminations, and be on with my day. If I win, I win, if I lose, queue up and play again.
While stuff like Counter-Strike, I feel can be more competitive because of the game setup, it's broken into rounds, there's two objectives, etc allowing more plays and action. While battle royale has you running, exploring and surviving for most of the part. This is coming from someone who also enjoys Counter-Strike casually, but seen the competitive scene via ESports tournaments.
