Well theres one on 3DS coming and what I want is a true sequel like what Wild World was to the original. No City when really its just a rinky dink mall. No, I want some bang for my buck and with 2GB of space on each cartridge, there's no excuse.
New furniture, flooring, wallpaper, etc.
New Animal friends.
More accessible online with voice chat.
More tools
Every Holiday imaginable such as Easter Day, Christmas Eve/Day, Earth Day, April Fools, Halloween, Presidents Day, Memorial Day, etc. Why? Because Wild World left out many Holidays, including a few I just listed. What's the problem? Well the original had them...
Bring back bushes, and balls. (Remember those irresistable soccer balls, basketballs, and volleyballs?)
Bring back the dump, Post office (while ditching the town hall), Wishing Well, Police Office, Lighthouse/Windmill, and the dock.
Bigger houses. Yeah I said it.
More replay value concerning activities to do. We got watering/planting flowers, kicking balls, digging up fossils, fishing, bug catching, and shell selling, but I want more things to do to keep me occupied.
Bring back the statues they build to honor your loans for being paid off.
Don't reuse the same music from City Folk/Wild World.
Realistic lighting.
And last but not least, more interaction with your belongings.
There won't be one. So far, Nintendo has done one Crossing for the Cube, one for the DS, and one for the Wii. Like Chrono Cross said, there is one coming for the 3DS next. It seems like Nintendo is determined to keep doing just one Crossing game per system (sadly).
Not saying thats how I want it to be. I wouldn't mind seeing another Crossing for Wii. I like the big screen Crossing. Wild World was good, but, despite its faults, I think I've enjoyed CF more because I could share it with the family easier & it supports mic chat.
Anyway, I guess we'll have to wait till Nintendo's next console for another big screen Crossing game.
As for the 3DS game, I agree with CC's list. I also hope that the new Crossing 3DS takes advantage of all of the 3DS's features: Spotpass, Streetpass, Play Coins, AR, the camera, and the Eshop. I want the next Crossing to be a step forward for the series. I think its about time.
Ya, I'd like to see the Mii masks return. Then again, it might be interesting to see Miis put to further use in the new game. Not sure how. Hmmm. In any case, I do think the Miis should be used somehow, because they are as much a feature of the 3ds as the Wii (if not more so).
I do want to see everything Cross mentioned, but I'm really hoping the 3DS game uses all of the cool features the 3DS has. I think if any game could show off the everything the 3DS has to offer, it would be Crossing. Also: as much as I want the new Crossing this year, I'm pretty sure I'd be willing to wait longer if it meant Nintendo would give us a better Crossing game. (still hoping for this year though. lol).
Which would you rather have in it? Mii Masks or Be a Mii. With mii masks you could take it off but you cant put hats or masks on the mii mask. Being a mii its not a mask its just your character and you can put hats or masks on your mii. Note: Being a Mii you can never be the origanal character. (animal crossing character)

BellGoRiing, I very much doubt we'll see a new Nintendo console this year. Maybe next year, but even that is a little doubtful imo. I think they might announce the new system next year, but I don't think it'll be this year. It seems way to soon & the rumors sound very Sony or Microsoft-ish. And personally, I will never lose interest in Crossing. Though, I do hope the new one adds some cool new features.
Sonic, I don't know. I'm kind of torn. It would be nice for them to put an option where you could be a Mii, but then again, I might miss the regular Crossing character. lol. I guess Mii mask might be the way to go. Though, it would be interesting if you could actually be a Mii for one day. Maybe Halloween?
For you, the day LordJumpMad graced your threads, was the most important day of your life. But for me, it was Tuesday. [url=http://www.backloggery.com/jumpmad]Unive...

I kinda figured the system will show up at E3, like last year with the 3DS rumors, then it popped up at that year's E3. Something tells me its gonna happen again...Maybe another one will pop up for the Wii, but then again the 3DS one hasn't even been released yet. I'm guessing the next AC will be fore this Cafe thing. (besides, I think the GCN, Wii, DS, and 3DS all have only one game right now)

Keep it PG-13-ish.
Animal Crossing sucks, its only good if its portable. I went on holiday for two weeks, returned to AC and see that I get yelled at because I was gone for so long and my hair is a mess... why do you get punished because you went on holiday? Good god.
At that point, I lost all interest in this game. Keep it to the handheld since, even if you're on holiday, you can still play it. Puting it on a home console was a bad move in my book. Getting punished for not going on it on a daily basis? Good god, I might have better things to do than wander around a pokey little pixelated town everyday.
The main thing I would like to see available is to stop time for a while because I'm sure not everyone can go on it every single day...

That's the reason why my Animal Crossing character wears a hat. :3
Obviously there wouldn't be another Animal Crossing for the Wii, the reason is stated by DF2506. (Comment #9) To be truthful, i've also lost faith in the series. With Animal Crossing: City Folk, I expected so much more out of the "city" in the game...sadly, I was sorely dissapointed with a mediocre "city" (pssh, City? more like a tiny shopping mall) Although I did spend 300+ hours on the game just to pay off all my Mortgage, I now feel like I wasted all that time... The game isn't terrible, just not up to par with my expectations (I spent 80 hard earned dollars for that game! with the addition of Wii Speak) There wont be a another Animal Crossing for the Wii, I hope that Animal Crossing for the 3DS will be groundbreaking. Not just include one small extra area and call it new Animal Crossing game.
@xDemon720x I know cross breading flowers can be a pain in the neck. You don't water them and they die. If you have a spare character slot you can create a character with just a dresser to store flowers. That would give you over a hundred spots. My wife and I setup 2 character for that purpose. It's really handy if you want to grow your grass back too.
Animal Crossing is one of my favourite Nintendo games (Gamecube version being the best in the series for me). Here are some things I would love to see added to the game:
1. No friend codes to visit. You should be able to visit anyone's town at any time but you cannot damage stuff (thread on flowers, chop down trees etc.) unless the town owner adds you as an online friend (without having to exchange codes and stuff like that).
2. Your town is saved online. That means that people can visit your town while your system is switched off. It also means that you can 'peek' into your town through a web browser to check things out. When peeking you cannot interact, just take a look.
3. Real time weather and light. The in game weather/sun lights reflect the geographical position the player is situated at. So if it is raining outside, it should be raining in the game. This would be a great incentive for people to travel. For example: some fish maybe only available where it rains, so if you are in a part of the world where it rarely/never rains, you will have to visit other towns to catch these fish.
4. As the game would be played online, new items, collectibles, and even events would be added all the time.

That would kill turnip runs. I kinda like being able to buy turnips one minute and sell them to nook the next at 5 times the price over and over again.
5. As someone said, its unfair for the game to 'punish' you if you dont play it for 2 weeks or so because you are on holiday. Well, the Gamecube version of ANimal Crossing let you transfer your character to 'Animal Island' onto the GBA which you could play on the handheld. I can imagine its not too difficult for them to do something similar with 3DS. You would then take your 3DS on holiday, and when you get back you 'take the boat' back to the main game on the Wii 2 or whatever.
