Topic: This website redesign!

I personally prefer the desktop version at least. I absolutely can't stand mobile sites.

There's actually a way to get to the desktop view on your mobile devices, guys. Just use this link: www.nintendolife.com/desktop and voila! Desktop view on your phone! Tapping the tabs that have drop-down menus on your phone won't take you straight to the link, either.
I could have sworn I used that very same link to try and get to the desktop view on my phone earlier (when I first saw the redesign on my phone), but that didn't work. Maybe it was a last minute addition.

I dunno if it's a problem with Chrome or whatever, but I can't seem to be able to look at the comments in any given news story... I click the load comments thing, but it just redirects me back to the opening page.

Can't say I'm a fan of this new redesign. It seems very cluttered to me, though I will most likely get used to it.

I hate it so far, but it could just be a knee-jerk reaction to a sudden and drastic change. I'll need time to get used to this before I can evaluate it properly.

I'll test the waters with this redesign before making my final revved up decision, although, there're some k00l new stuff like user scores (which, I gave to a game already, probably making it the first user scored game on NL) and the banner (which I still need to fix, but it should be swell for now).

A NOICE feature though, is if you entered the Konami code, and then something happened.....Like a mariachi band playing Nintendo tunes!

I'm annoyed that all sites feel like they have to change for the mobile market.

There's too much white, so much empty space. And I can't load comments on articles. Just make them load automatically!

And why is the "Recently commented sidebar" gone. Bring it back!

Once we're used to it, it'll be fine. I do like the notification on your profile when someone mentions you. I have a junk email registered to this site so I never get those.

Okay, now using the PC version, it's definitely ''better'' than the mobile version, but there's too much empty space and the text is a little too big, I used to be able to see more than a dozen topics on screen en several comments, but now I can only fit 8 topics on my screen and two comments if I'm lucky. The NintendoLife bar that pops up whenever I scroll doesn't help much either.

Also, ads between posts? I get that you need to make your money, but they're pretty annoying.

Anyway, I'm getting used to the new design now. The one thing I miss is the "last commenter" thing that showed in the forums, it could be used to go to the last comment. (It's not in the mobile version).

After coming back from a long day at a seminar, this change took me by surprise in a big way! I have no issues with it right now (except for the ad box on the profile) and I greatly appreciate the new notification thing by my profile pic. No more will I have to look back at forums and see if I was mentioned anywhere.

Also, profiles have a banner now. Gonna think about what to put there now...

Yeah, I also miss the forums bar showing the most recent posts, used it quite a lot. That, and not being able to read any of the article before entering it. A lot of times I would read the first few sentences just to get an idea of whether or not I wanted to read the whole article or not. Not a huge problem, but it was nice to have.

I do wonder though, will we ever be able to write reviews for games in our collections? There are a few I'd love to review.

The banners are really cool though, I used the one I have on Miiverse and it actually turned out really nice despite it's small size.

I can't zoom in on my WiiU gamepad any more.. ߨ(

@antdickens Do you think you can fix the problem where clicking on the topic of a thread on the drop-down menu after setting the cursor on/tapping the Forums tab at the top of the page will send you to the first page of the thread? Just another gripe I discovered...
