My dad sat down with me, looks like I am going to be working with him in some father, son trucker shipment business. Mean's I am getting some cash. I am not tired/bored of the Wii at all. Just lately I been really getting into Final Fantasy and I would like to get all the PSN classics. Maybe try out the PS2 FF's and PS3. Though there's also the Xbox route.
Do you have to pay for online? Anything I should know? Should I get a 360 instead? Discuss.

I don't see why you'd want a 360, there are so few exclusives anymore, and the Xbox 360 lacks PSN classics.
I play my PSP on the TV for some games. You need component (not composite) cables to do it, which must be bought separately. The cable is pretty short, which is a pain, but the games do look good on a larger screen. I imagine they look better on an SDTV than an HDTV btw. The only thing is that there are black borders around the image which can be annoying at first. PSOne games on the PSP don't show the black borders however - they're almost perfect recreations of the original PSOne games when played on TV. (You can't use analog input or rumble - but that's not a problem for RPGs.)
Still, a PSP isn't a substitute for a home console. If you're really looking for gaming on your TV, I'd say either get a PS3 or wait for the next Nintendo console.
@WaveBoy Mono price is one of the cheapest places to get all things cable related. A friend and I have bough many things from there. Including when we built our network.
I would not go with a PSP. It's name says it all-it's a portable watered down playstation, with hardly any decent games, lack of imagination, and ports. Nintendo knows to diversify their portables from their consoles but Sony just makes the same thing on the go.
antiquated view of PSP--its library of new/exclusive titles is awesome now, as are its ports. But yeah--PS3 wins for sure.

I forgot to update this. I lost interest in getting the PS3, that and the little job isn't going well. My friend is going to be leaving his 360 at my house so that's good. He's going to go get some games I am interested in. Though I keep switching back to the Wii to finish off a couple VC games. Xbox is currently hooked to composite.. I wish my tv had more component spots.
