Sorry had a bit of a meltdown. I thought I'd help by creating this thread but than another TV show thread popped up and it was like a slap in the face to me for making this thread. I think I might take a break for while.

Also I'm only two episodes into Arrested Development, which is why I haven't started raving about it/put it in my top 5 yet. I'll let you guys know when that changes.
True to my word, I am letting you guys know that has changed. It is now very near the top of my list of favorite TV shows. Very near.
Also Breaking Bad is easily going to make my top 5 if it doesn't stop being awesome anytime soon. I have faith it won't (almost done with season 2).
So is this 'THE' TV show thread or not? A little confused. Oh well.
So I've enjoyed Agents of Shield a bit. A little odd to follow but not bad so far.
I have just started watching Sleepy Hollow as well, and I really am enjoying it so far.

Watched the first three episodes of The Legend of Vox Machina on Amazon Prime. It's an animated series based of Critical Role's Dungeon and Dragons.streams. Alot of familiar voice actors here reprise their characters from the table top game, Travis Willingham (Full Metal Alchemist, Marvel's Spider-man), Laura Bailey (Fruits Basket, Marvel's Spider-man, World of Warcrat) Ashley Johnson (The Last of Us, Infinity Train), Liam O' Brien (World of Warcraft) Sam Riegel (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Phoenix Wright) Taliesin Jaffe (Street Fighter IV, World of Warcraft) and Marisha Ray (Persona 4, Far Cry New Dawn).
First off this show is not for kids, the F bomb is dropped alot, there is nudity and sexual scenes and of course blood and gore.
The first three episodes basically tell the story on how the group is formed and there first big victory as a group of adventures and then sets the stage for the rest of the series.
I thought they did a great job on the animated series the animation was great, voice acting of was awesome of course. Alot of action particularly the second episode. Definitely worth a watch. One nice thing with the series, they did it so you don't even have to know anything about Critical Role's web series you can just watch Vox Machina.
If you enjoy fantasy type shows like Game of Thrones, Witcher, Wheel of Time etc this will probably be worth your time.

I just watched the first two episodes of the Cuphead Show on Netflix and it's really good. It's obviously not the same style as the game but I don't think that should be a knock against it, especially with what they have looking wonderful as is. The humour is also genuinely brilliant at times in both line delivery and slapstick, making the animation all the better when paired with it.
The voices are a bit strange at the moment but I think I'll grow towards them (I have this idea in my head that Cuphead and Mugman should be a bit higher pitched, you know?). They're not bad at all though, they're still great, and the Devil's voice is perfect, capturing a suave, alluring and evil personality all in one.
I may have only seen 2 episodes but good lord do I want to see more. I'll try and binge the rest by the end of the day and see if anything else happens. Fantastic stuff all around.

We live in a golden of tv where shows now have the production values and quality of writing to match movies whilst also with the advantages of streaming now allows deep serialised stories and can be as sophisticated or niche as the show runner wants since it’s no longer chasing ratings from the lowest demographic. So I come into the thread and notice the only recent things folks here are watching are cartoons. ;p
@Dogorilla True, Yu Gi Oh is like really dark and totally mature! ;p
I know you are just trolling, but genuinely, there are some truly amazing cartoons. Watching through Steven Universe really helped me process a lot of things I just couldn't surrounding my own Mum's death before watching that show. And it gave me frameworks to explore grief with my younger sister I never had before that. SU is probably one of the most perfect examples I can think of what every cartoon should achieve, with an all ages appeal outer layer and a much more complex core centre for those older in the audience to engage with should they want to.
@Pizzamorg No I like cartoons but I just like mocking some of the more pretentious folk on here alot more. The amounts of times I hear about people who only play game for the stories and then it turns out the only shows/movies they watch is rather shallow anime or Disney kinda explains how easily they are wowed by the deep stories of the Pokemon or whatever games.
@Rambler I've missed the last few seasons (season 2/3 was the last time I watched it) but I'm looking forward to when the show has ended so I can start binging it in one go just how God intended for tv to viewed nowadays!

Haha that is fair - like people saying how good Arceus story is and I am like... what story??? But if all you watch is like Boruto then maybe we need to lower the bar as to what counts.
@Rambler Yeah, I thought the same thing about Saul over Breaking Bad when I was watching it. It’s funnier without breaking the drama and the law stuff really snaps plus Chuck and Kim are some of my favourite characters from either show. Breaking Bad always seemed too much of a slow burn whilst Saul just gets into things.
I get what you’re saying about it not working as it’s own show. I reckon apart of it is because it’s a tragedy with the character’s fate sealed so they can play around with that which allows then to subvert what you expect to happen and be subtler which can only be done as a spin off/prequel as you require knowledge of it.
American Crime Story: Impeachment (Hulu) -
Dramatization of the events leading up to & surrounding the Clinton impeachment scandal.
Other than a bit of a mustache twirling vibe in terms of it's depictions of some of the conservative journalists of the time, I thought it did an impeccable job giving a nuanced, humanizing look at all parties involved.
Angel Cop (Pluto TV) - Old school OVA series that follows the exploits of a clandestine special police force in near future Japan as they go up against terrorists, some of which are cybernetically or psychically enhanced (sorta like a mix between Akira & Ghost in the Shell).
The further in I got the more sure I was I had seen it before at some point in the distant past, but it didn't stop it from gripping me. It's gritty & graphically violent in a way that modern anime aren't, and in spite of it's ancient profanity laced dub I was compelled to binge all six of it's episodes over the weekend. Currently free to watch on Pluto TV if you're in the US, so check it out if you're curious.
Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey (Disney+) - Take a journey through how the universe works, how it came to be, & where it's going, all through the lens of our current scientific understanding.
I watched this when it first came out, and I found it just as interesting today. Feels sort of like one of those videos you'd have to watch in science class, just stretched out over an entire series & with a much larger budget (for a network TV special the effects look impressive, outside of a segment on photosynthesis that looks like it has CGI 10-15 years behind everything else). Nice pallet cleanser.

@Rambler I loved the first season but I’m not keen on the second season of Russian Doll myself. It’s does not pull off the risks it takes but at least Natasha Lyonne is still fantastic in it.
