I am not exactly a shmup fan but considering Konami and Hudson are well known for their shmup franchises...why haven't we seen a mash up ala Smash Bros, Mario Kart or even Marvel vs Capcom.

*Disclaimer: this isn't a real game but an idea of what could we see in the space of shooters...anyone agree we need a crossover shmup for better variety? It'd work I think.
