Whichever song has the most number of votes first wins the tiebreaker. For example, if it went like Mario, Mario, Luigi, Mario, Luigi, Luigi, Mario, Luigi; Mario would win because he had the 5 votes first. It's the way we've always done tiebreakers here, but i'm open to suggestions.

1. VVVVVV - Pushing Onwards
Windmill Isle is also a very good song but I think Pushing onwards is better.
2. Advance Wars - Andy's theme
I haven't played any Advance Wars games so I'm not sure character themes are also level themes but if that isn't the case, then my vote would be for Operation Underway even if it isn't that good. I just don't think character themes should be allowed in a first level theme tournament but as I said I haven't played and Advance Wars games so maybe character themes are level themes

I haven't played Advance Wars either so i'm not sure if the character's theme plays during the level or not. I'd assume so, but like I said, I don't know.

VVVVVV is all I care about. My vote goes to Pushing Onwards.

@FonistofCruxis, @CapnPancakes - In Advance Wars 1, Andy is forced to be playable in the first proper mission (level). I imagine it's the same case for Jake's Theme from Dual Strike which is also in this tourney. IMO, character themes are fine so long as it's the theme of the character you play as in the first level / mission.

As for the vote...
1. Sonic Unleashed - Windmill Isle
Though both songs are excellent for first level themes. It was hard to choose.
2. Advance Wars - Andy's Theme
Again, it was rather close, I just like Andy's Theme better.
3. Super C - Stage 1
I prefer the fast-paced beat of this song. Honestly, I found Demon's Crest's first level theme a little boring.

I think the tiebreaker is fair. _{and oh no im not just saying that so city escape will win, oh no no never!}

1. Hmm, actually a toughie. Both are good songs but have very different feels to them. I'll go with VVVVVV - Pushing Onwards, but I'd be fine if either songs 'pushed onwards', haha.
2. Trauma Center 2: Under the Knife - Operation Underway. Nothing really special about either of these songs, though.
3. Demon's Crest - Beyond the Colosseum

Super C theme is soo awesome! Demon Crest is pretty boring and bland....

Windmill Isle is nice, but VVVVV has such a catchy soundtrack.

I'm not to big on either song, but Andy's theme is alright.

3. Super C - Stage 1
This one was a toss up, but I'll stick with good 'ol Contra.

Demon's Crest - Beyond the Colosseum: I will make a comment about this one since it was a nomination of mine. Not only is this an amazing but forgotten game, but the first level them is so unique with its Gothic pipe organ gold. To bad its up against Super C because I love that tune as well.

I don't know why, but I'm not a fan of any of VVVVVV's music, it just doesn't really go anywhere with its direction. I'm pleasantly surprised about this Sonic music though. I usually don't like modern Sonic music that much, but this track is so groovy and smooth jazzin'

2. Advance Wars - Andy's Theme
This theme is alright, neither blow me away.

3. Super C - Stage 1
Very catchy theme.
