Alright, that's all the spots we have so nominations are over.
Sorry if there wasn't enough space for your songs, but I'll try the best I can to fit everything in. The first round will be on Monday so see you all then.
Alright, just a few things to go over before the first round. First off, this bracket only contains 64 of the 96 songs. If you don't see one of our songs in this bracket, then that means it is in the second one. After we have narrowed the 64 songs down to 32, i'll combine it with the second bracket so don't worry, your nominations were taken, it will just take a little bit of time to get to them.
Secondly, the bracket has been randomly shuffled. I tried to go over it and make sure nobody had two of their songs matched against each other in the first round, but I might have missed some. If your songs are pitted against each other in the first round, i'm sorry, but it's not my fault.
And lastly, if you have any questions or problems, just ask me and i'll do my best to help. So with that, let's get this show on the road! Here is a link to the current bracket
1. Petal Meadows
2. Jungle Hijinx
3. Sky Station Galaxy
Your true face... What kind of... face is it? I wonder... The face under the mask... Is that... your true face?
The truth is incontrovertible, malice may attack it, ignorance may deride it, but in the end; there it is. -Winston Churchill
1. Kirby's Dreamland - Green Greens: TTYD had a really good song, but I like how classic and catchy Green Greens is.
2. Donkey Kong Country Returns - Jungle Hijinx: This was an easy choice. Jungle Hijinx would have been one of my nominations if it hadn't already been done.
3. Super Mario Galaxy 2 - Sky Station Galaxy: Another easy choice.
1) Kirby's Dream Land - Green Greens
2) Turok 2 - The Port of Aida (The DKCR one takes far too long to get going and most of it is so very forgettable - honestly; only 1:05-1:22 on that video was worth listening to).
3) Super Mario Galaxy 2 - Sky Station Galaxy
1)Kirby's Dreamland
2)Donkey Kong Country Returns - Loving dat beat.
3)SMG2: Sky station galaxy - Fire emblem sounded kinda tinny and was not very catchy either.
Currently on the plate:
Mount and Blade: Warband – Napoleonic Wars
Chivalry
Super Mario 3D World – Finishing the last few levels.
Mario Kart 8
Just a reminder to those who have a tendency to choose a song they know and love without ever listening to the other track. PLEASE LISTEN TO BOTH in order to properly compare which songs you truly prefer. Every time I see nostalgia based reasoning for a pick I want to fart in people's faces.
1.) Kirby's Dreamland - Listened to both tracks and I simply prefer this quick silly and fun beat more.
2.) Turok 2: Port of Adia - So much better than Jungle Hijinx. I like Jungle Hijinx but it's not near as interesting when it comes to range of sound & overall feel. Port of Adia is just better all the way around and is considered one of the best video game soundtracks by many to ever be created for a first level.
3.) SMG2: Sky Station Galaxy - Fully Orchestrated video game music that's hard to beat in this round.

I'm with you on this. Except for that last part - that was just weird.
1. Kirby's Dream Land - Green Greens Paper Mario did a good job on a rendition of a classic tune, but I found Kirby's Theme to be too catchy and charming for me to overlook it.
2. Turok 2 - Port of Adia Am not personally a fan of how both tracks build up, but I found Turok 2 gets the job done with its suspenseful tone.
3. Super Mario Galaxy 2 - Sky Station Galaxy Playing the first stage with this music really sucks you in the game's world.
