hi, i'm capnjazz. i recently got back into gaming with the wii u and 3ds in 2013, now i own all three consoles and both handhelds. i'm mainly interested in nintendo first party titles, but there are some third party games that i am really looking forward to as well (bloodborne)

Hello, Nintendolife! My pseudonym is Nicolai, and I am 22 years old. You may have seen me in the comment section, but I am relatively new. I am a fan of classical music and old jazz, and I have a specific taste in video games. It just so happens that most of the games I'm into are published by Nintendo , but I try to branch out with other games too. I have a distaste for the standard RPG, with its turn-based strategy and arbitrary numbers. I'm also not very attracted to the hardcore and gritty. I generally play action games, platformers, or puzzles. I'll occasionally play shooters, fighting games, or RTS's if it appeals to me. I'm a die-hard Legend of Zelda fan, so you can talk to me about any canon Zelda game. I'm extremely excited about the upcoming Splatoon.
I'm not a huge forum-goer; the only other forum I've ever been a part of was NUMA (nmaps.net), about 7 years ago. I don't usually create threads; I just browse other peoples and reply. The consoles I own are: SNES, N64, GameBoy Color, 3DS, and Wii U. I skipped the Gamecube/GBA generation, which coincidentally is, like, most people's favorite generation. That seems to come up a lot -.-'
In real life, I live in the United States of America, and I am a professional performer of the French Horn.

I'm Jordie, newbie on the forums. Been watching NLife for some time now and thought I'd join the discussions every now and then. My FC and NNID is in my signature for everyone who's interested, I've also added my current games. I generally play a lot of platformers, RPG's and Adventure Games; every now and then I might dip into other genres if it's worth it (like with SSB). My main gaming device for now is my 3DS as I don't own a Wii U yet, but I'll probably buy one sometime next year. I live in Europe and I'm hoping to play with some of you guys whenever I can afford the time and space.

I am Antiheld, I am 25, I am a student at university and I live in Germany.
The last Nintendo consoles I owned (and played a lot) where the GBA and the SNES, after that i skipped to the Playstation. Now I bought a DSLite and a Wii to recap all the great Nintendo games I've missed. If my budget allows it I plan to buy a Wii U and/or a New 3DS XL.
My favorite Nintendo franchise are Metroid and Mario. Therefore the current games I play are Metroid Prime and Mario Galaxy because I did not have the chance to play them before. I also really like the 2D Zelda games and the Pokémon franchise. Despite Nintendo I love all sort of games, but mostly storydriven and atmospheric games like Deus Ex or Last of Us.

Took me a while but finally decided to make a account on this site. Anyway I'm AwesomeReshiram (I don't know why I keep using this username but I like it and it stuck around) I started off on a PS2, then when I broke it, went to the GBA and then the DS and Wii. Now I only have the 3DS but I love it and rarely not play on it at least once a day.

Hello everyone. I've joined this forum in the hopes of connecting with fellow Nintendo fans. I'm 25 years old (but will be 26 in a few weeks), I'm from Minnesota, and I've been a Nintendo fan since my family got an NES when I was pretty young.Though Nintendo is my favorite game company, I do play other consoles as well. Other than gaming, I also have interests in animated shows and films as well as animals and nature. I look forward to participating in the discussion here since this seems like a pretty active and large community. Peace!
I'm new to the forums. I'm an avid Nintendo fan, have been all my life, and currently enjoying showing my children the wonderful world that Nintendo offers.
I do however, have a question for whoever cares to answer. Pretty much the reason why I joined the forums in the first place.
Is Nintendo your only platform you game on?
The reason why I ask this, is I'm searching for some advice. As I said above, I have been a gamer my entire life. My parents raised me on Nintendo, so that is where my allegiance truly is, but I do also have a PlayStation 3, for some of the more hardcore games. I have been gaming on PlayStation for sometime now, about 6 or 7 years, and now that I am a parent and my Son is old enough to understand and play games, I'm thinking the best thing to do is switch solely to Nintendo, as it's family friendly entertainment, something I am able to play alongside my children and even my Wife (who is very excited for Mario Party 10!) and besides that, Nintendo is really hitting their stride this year. I have owned a Wii U since launch, and am considering trading in my PS3 for the new 3DS when it launches. So, really any advice would be helpful, or any personal stories of yours why you game on Nintendo.

This is my first post on Nintendo Life. I have been an avid Nintendo fan since I was three years of age, the first video game I've ever played being Super Mario 64. I'm currently in my senior year in high school, and afterwards plan on going into either Marine Biology or Computer Science. If I decide on the latter, I plan on working for Nintendo of America in Washington.
My hobbies include gaming, music, and computers. I'm also very fascinated by Japan, Astronomy, horror novels, and Asian food.
