@Chicken_Brutus: I usually beat all the Robot Masters with the Buster the first time around, and use weaknesses in the boss rush. I've experienced the fighting both ways many times, and for the most part, they're much easier to beat using their weakness (which is how it's supposed to be):

1: There really aren't any that using the arm cannon is easier for me, but if I was going to pick one it'd be Cut Man
2: Quick Man (that is, instead of using Crash Bomber) other than him, same as the first game
3: Top Man (only because the Hard Knuckle is slow) otherwise, same as the first
4: Dive Man (because getting close to him is hazerdous to your health, and his Dive Missles will occasionaly hit and destroy the Skull Barrier before you can hit him with it) and Dust Man (because of the Ring Boomerang's limited reach)
5: They're all easy to beat with the Mega Buster, but I'd have to say Charge Man and (to a lesser extent) Gravity Man
6: Tomahawk Man (for about the same reason as Dive Man) and Plant Man
7: Burst Man and Freeze Man (kinda)
8: Tengu Man
9: None
10: Pump Man, Blade Man, and Chill Man

That is all.

Which Robot Master do you usually start with? The first boss I go after has changed a few times for some of the games, and I occasionally like to mix it up and start with a different one. Here's who I start with nowadays and my order (and I go in weakness order unless stated otherwise, even though I don't usually use the weaknesses):

1: Cut Man (but then I go to Fire Man, not Elec Man, and continue in weakness order from him)
2: Air Man, Metal Man, Crash Man, Flash Man, Quick Man, Bubble Man, Heat Man, Wood Man
3: Needle Man, Snake Man, Top Man, Shadow Man, Spark Man, Magnet Man, Hard Man, Gemini Man
4: Dust Man (somtimes Pharaoh Man)
5: Charge Man
6: Flame Man, Plant Man, Wind Man, Blizzard Man, Tomahawk Man, Yamato Man, Knight Man, Centaur Man
7: Freeze Man, Burst Man, Cloud Man, Junk Man, Turbo Man, Spring Man, Slash Man, Shade Man
8: Tengu Man, Clown Man, Grenade Man, Frost Man, Sword Man, Search Man, Astro Man, Aqua Man
9: Hornet Man
10: Depends on which character I am. Bass always starts with Sheep Man, Proto Man always starts with Blade Man, and Mega Man starts with either Blade Man or Pump Man.

Wow interesting MegaStoneSmash I never heard of anyone starting with Needle Man in MM3 as for the the Hard Knuckle being to slow in MM3 I still use it against Topman and the Yellow Devil. Anyway here is my list.

1. Bombman, Gutman, Cutman, Elecman, Iceman, Fireman
2. Airman, Metalman, Crashman, Woodman, Bubblman, Heatman, Flashman, Quickman.
3. Magnet man, Hardman, Topman, Shadowman, Sparkman, Snakeman, Geminiman, Needleman.
4. Toadman, Brightman, Pharaohman, Ringman, Dustman, Skullman, Diveman, Drillman.
5. Starman, Gravityman, Gyroman, Crystalman, Napalmman, Stoneman, Chargeman, Waveman.
6. Flameman, Blizzardman, Plantman, Tomahawkman, Yamatoman, Knightman, Centaurman, Windman
7. Burstman, Coudman, Junkman, Freezeman, Slashman, Springman, Shademan, Turboman.

Now on Megaman 2 and 3 I sometimes mix it up but I usually stick with the order I stated. Especially if I am playing a quick game.

@Tasuki: Hey, your orders for MM1, 3, 5, 6, and 7 are all orders that I've previously used ! And why does everyone beat Quick Man last ? I updated my last post with my boss orders for the games, so, yeah . And, yeah, I like to mix up my orders every once in a while too. It gives you a slightly different experience and you have different weapons depending on who you beat.

I go to Quickman last cause I dont like his level at all. Quickman himself I can beat no problem with the Arm cannon (which is what the mega buster was called prior to MM4) but I dont like his level at all so its just a case of saving the worst for last.

Yeah MM1-3 I tend to mix it up depending on my mood and how I want to play the game. If I am going for a quick games as a stated in my previous post thats the order I go in. As for MM4-7 I have only played through them once and thats the order I went in when I played it.

Finally, SOMEONE who likes what I like! 6 was my favorite (the Cross System was perect), and I agree that 4 was one to avoid (nothing made any sense and there was way too many pointless locations).
One more thing to note: in keeping with the MM tradition, the Battle Network games can be insanely hard at some point (especially BN6's Post-Game).

Mega Man ftw.
My favorite original NES MM games are MM2 (of course), MM3, and MM6 (I loved MM6), as for the X games, my favorites are X1, X2, and X3.
My favorite Robot Masters are Snake Man, Strike Man, Yamato Man, Pharaoh Man, Quick Man, Air Man, Shade Man, and Tengu Man.
My favorite Mavericks in the X series are Magna Centipede, Boomer Kuwanger, Sting Chameleon (the first Maverick I liked), Gravity Beetle, Magma Dragoon, and The Skiver.

@Tasuki: How is that sad? It just proves you know you're Mega Man stuff! I think it's great you recognized most of the weapons.

Anyone find the well-hidden Hadouken ability in Mega Man X? I did (though admittedly not by myself).

Mega Man, Mega Man, does whatever a mega man can...

Can he shoot, from a web? Maybe not yet, there's no Spider Man loooooooook out

Lieutenant Commander of the Lesbian Love Brigade
There can only be one, like in that foreign movie where there could only be one, and in the end there is only one dude left, because that was the point.

Good stuff! I love MM6 and I'm glad to see someone else who does. MM4 is also one of my favorites. The first 3 X games are great, but I also like X4 and X6. I liked the music more in the 32-bit version of X3 (some of the SNES version's songs sound terrible), and X6 has an all-around excellent soundtrack.

The weapon you get from Web Spider in MMX4 shoots a web, and an electric one at that! Plus you can use it as a wall to reach high places.

Lol I guess thats one way to look at it.

@Starboy: Yep I found the Hadouken ability in MMX and I found it by myself I was just messing around and I went into the capsual and got it. I think it was MMX2 that you could get Ryu and Kens uppercut from SFII.

Oh and on another MM releated topic I just picked up Megaman and Bass from Amazon for 10 bucks XD!! I hope this one is as good as the others.

@Tasuki - Yep, it's in Mega Man X2 where the hidden Shoryuken ability appears. I've never gotten it, though.
