Topic: The Goodbye/Vacation Thread

Today is my flight... and that means I'll be going on a vacation to see my aunt, uncle, and cousins. I'm looking forward to it! I want to enjoy it as much as I can, so I likely won't be on Nintendo Life for a good full week. I want you all to stay safe and be good to yourselves, OK? I will be doing the same thing as well.

I won't have time to reply to your chit-chat thread posts, @Pastellioli and @Sunsy, but I do have the notifications unread. Thought I'd let you both know about me leaving too... and I thought I'd let a few of my other friends know, @Tyranexx, @ChameleonBros, and @jedgamesguy, that I'm heading out. Thank you all for being my NL friends. Loved playing games online with a lot of you folks too.

Thanks for the great replies, @Tyranexx, @Jhena, @Sunsy, and @Pastellioli... I have returned! I had a lovely time with my family. Everyone was thrilled to have me over, and I even got to see a newer cousin who is now six years old. They have a new pool now and it was nice swimming in it, and I did play a few games with my cousins, too. And yes, I did fit in a little sightseeing... we also went to an old western park, where we got to ride the train and see some cowboy/cowgirl skits, and it was so much fun! I'm happy with how my vacay turned out, and my plane trips to and fro both went well.

I’m back! And since someone wanted to know what games I played while I was on vacation might as well say what they are.
On our way up I played sonic colors DS because for some reason that has become a strange tradition for me every time we go across the bay for my parents anniversary. And when we got to the hotel I wrapped up the story for kingdom hearts recoded which is honestly a pretty fun game. And finally I spent the rest of the vacation playing the legendary starfy.

Welcome back and congratulations for finishing recoded! I think I watched a story summary video of recoded, in one of the compilations for the PlayStation 4. I quite enjoy the Kingdom Hearts series.

I will take a break for a while to stay away from upcoming Nintendo Direct as I already felt brokenhearted with Switch 2 infamous situation with game key card treatment for most 3rd party games so I don't want to hurt my feelings more from the rollercoaster emotional feeling after watching the Direct from overjoyed to the moon suddenly felt insulted and disappointed to realize the game key card treatments.
Nintendo Direct is no longer my interest anymore.
I might sneak peek the articles of announced games for Switch 2 just for curiosity but definitely my main priority is getting the PS5 version of 3rd party games as possible, not the Switch 2 version
Enough with BS game key card treatment.
I will return several days later while I having fun with my The Sims 4 PS4 on my PS5 and the upcoming arrived PS5 game purchase Fantasy Life I.

@Anti-Matter Probably a good idea to take a break if N isn't bringing enough joy anymore. Sims is a good choice but I do wish that rumored Sims 5 would come out some day.

Well, I skipped watching Nintendo Direct last week and my instinct was right.
Almost nothing impressed me except a few 3rd party kids games announced like NBA Bounce, Monster Hunter Stories 3 (this gonna be rated Teen Zelda botw style judging from the storyline trailer) that went multi platform and of course my main choice will be PS5 version.
And of course, the game key cards again for 3rd party games on Switch 2 that really disappointing me.
But the bright side, I had fun with Fantasy Life I PS5 that I got since 1 August 2025.
