@FishyS I would stay away from the Mega Man Collections the lag on them is just horrendous. There are so many other ways to play these games. From what I have heard 9 and 10 arent bad but they other games the lag just makes the games unplayable at time. I am sure @Waveboy can go into more detail. I only played MM2 and 3 on them and due to the lag I deleted the games from my Switch.

@NintendoByNature From what I have heard if you like Witcher III then you will enjoy this game. Its been long enough that most of the problems it had early on have been fixed.
Me personally I didnt like Witcher III and I am not a huge Cyperpunk fan so it isnt high on my list. Maybe some day if I have nothing else to play maybe I'd get it but that's just me.

@FishyS@Tasuki that’s how I feel. Don’t know if I’m fully interested, and it’s such a long game I can easily get burnt out. I played about 15hrs of Witcher 3 before I shut er down and moved on. I worry I’ll do the same with this. More than anything, I would like to know if it’s a slow burn that takes hours to get into.
Portal Companion Collection for $4.99, running at 1080p 60fps with gyro aiming, if you never played these games, is such a commanding deal I feel the need to compel you to dive in. Portal 2 is a top 5 game of all time. You simply must play these 2 games.
@NintendoByNature
Yes, get Cyberpunk 2077. It's better than The Witcher 3. And if you enable gyro to always be on with a pro controller, it's chef's kiss.
It doesn't take long to get into. In fact, I'm at the end of the game now with about 40 hrs logged. It told me, "finish any side quests you want to complete now, because this is the point of no return" so I just completed the Panam quest line and romanced her, and am now finishing up the Johnny/Rogue quest line which are definitely my favorite quests in the game. Keanu Reeves has never been a particular fave actor of mine, but he's the perfect fit for Johnny Silverhand. And seeing his character evolve has been incredibly rewarding.
I also have yet to touch the Phantom Liberty expansion which is next on the list. Once you get the precision rifle and a good sniper rifle with silencer, and mod them out with scopes and reduced recoil with headshot bonuses, and spec out your ability points in the skill tree to obtain a double jump and extra long dash... the game feels like a million dollars to play. I can duck in cover and snipe headshots from 100 yards all day.
I'm not an FPS enthusiast, but I adore a select few first person games that are single player and have gyro aiming and, in some cases (like Cyberpunk 2077) compelling story. Metroid Prime 4, Portal 2, Wolfenstein New Order, Cyberpunk, etc. I can confidently say Cyberpunk 2077 has shot up to my all time faves list. Top 30 easy, maybe even top 20.
Don't pass up on Cyberpunk 2077. This game is exceptionally good.

@NintendoByNature I love this game - and for 75% off - it's a bargain. I think it's worth it at full price - as it's probably my most played game of the year (and one of my favorites). Stay away from it if you do not like very M rated games...that's really the only reason why I wouldn't recommend it to someone.
Here are some games that I'm interested in - but just not sure if I will pick anything up. Next year I have Final Fantasy and 3 RE games to play in Jan/Feb. Then I'm planning to pick up Elden Ring as soon as it comes out...along with finishing Cyberpunk (DLC multiple endings), Hogwarts Legacy, SF6 Solo Mode, and likely a few more. So, not sure if I would get around to anything on this list, but would love some thoughts:
Kingdom Come Deliverance - been on my radar, but hesitant as it doesn't have a SW2 version
PoP Lost Crown - Do I grab it now or wait for a further price drop?
Divinity: Original Sin 2
Pentiment
Ball x Pit
Return of the Obra Din
Return to Monkey Island (I've never played a MOnkey Island game)
Llamasoft: The Jeff Minter Story
Baba Is You
Crow Country
Anyone who has not yet played Outer Wilds - it is on sale, and is absolutely worth playing. It's a best of a generation type game, IMO.

Pick your side quests wisely. I avoided anything that was "find 20 posters" or "chase down cyberbully" or "find Delemain cab" and only did the other, interesting side quests. Anything with Rogue, Panam, Johnny Silverhand, Judy Alvarez, Jackie, etc you want to do immediately after receiving the quest. Cause some of them (like romancing Panam) are time dependent, and you need to accept quest within 24 in-game hours. Also need to make correct choices if pursuing her is your aim. But they're also some of the funnest quests on offer. With the most depth, character development and story.
Basically just go with your gut, and ignore anything that seems tedious (like Delemain cabs and cyberbullies). And make sure you don't accidentally start following the Liberty City questline til the end, cause the difficulty will be way too much for you until then.
I also found melee katanas to be eh- I prefer guns 100%, and you really wanna get a powerful rifle and sniper rifle as soon as possible. And don't ignore cyberware mods. There's leg augments that can give you a double jump, for example. And that makes certain quests doable you couldn't access otherwise (perhaps your skill check to open a locked door doesn't pass) and gives you easier access to many areas.
I didn't focus on netrunning much but you don't want to ignore the basic skill set you have either. Rebooting Optics on enemies can give you the edge before engaging in combat. And remember, health items and grenades are unlimited, but have a cool down timer, so don't hesitate to throw frag grenades or flashbang grenades each and every time you engage in a fight.
@Lazz
Prince of Persia The Lost Crown. Get that. It's worth it at any price imo, certainly at a discount. My favorite 2D metroidvania ever made.

@NintendoByNature Yeah I dont know if its a slow burn or not I never played it. Maybe check out some YouTube videos before you buy it.
I was that way with Witcher III as well. I bought it cause everyone was praising it and tried to play it but just found it incredibly boring. I put maybe 6 hours into it till I traded it in.

@JaxonH I believe that once you accept the quest, you have an unlimited timeframe to complete it. I never had a problem with any of the quests you mentioned - and I would ping pong around what I did. My rule of thumb was to just accept everything, then do it as you see fit. That way, when it came to the posters, cyberbullys, delarmine cab quests... I would complete them when they were in the same area that I was currently in. I could be wrong about this - would be best to look it up.
I ended up using fast travel regularly, as the world is huge... but there are fun things to find if you look around. I unlocked a car by stumbling into it...it completed a quest I hadn't received...and it was my first weaponized car. The game is really meant to go through it as you want, but your choices do matter.
It's funny - I went hard on netrunning...so many ways to play through it. Now I'm almost maxed out on everything...I can mow down pretty much anything the game throws at me.
@Tasuki
9&10 aren't emulations so there's zero additional input lag, they're direct WiiWare ports, and play just as perfectly as they did and are supposed to, minus the half baked CRT filter. There's no other legal way to get 9&10 at this point, since Wii U's eShop or whatever shut down years ago. Playing 9&10 on Wii, on a SD CRT is still a better experience simply because you're getting that authentic CRT 'look' and perfect blur-free motion clarity, through either composite or component, just as i did in the later 2000's.
Yet, 1-6, along with 7&8 in the Legacy Collection are all lag-alicious'. Plus, 1-6 are boasting awful desaturated colours(Which seems to be an on going problem with NES emulation, including NSO NES). Playing 1-8 in the Legacy Collections feels like you're jumping around in metal pants with a ball and chain strapped to each angle. They all feel broken. You can even feel the difference with MM for yourself, by comparing lets say MM3 in legacy 1, vs 9 or 10 in legacy 2...9&10 is how MM feels like to play just like in 3-6 with the original cartridge/software.
But the Legacy Collection(Legacy 2 that is) is still worth buying to own 9&10. Nothing wrong with those two like I pointed above, since they're latency free.
It's still mind boggling how nobody has recreated an NES repro cart for MM9(or 10, i purposely left 10 out because i don't like it. lol). I'd love to play that on an NES + CRT. That would be the definitive way to play, just as it was on the Wii for the reasons i mentioned above.
@WaveBoy Yeah its crazy how bad it feels. I remember when I got the Lagecy Collection and the first game I played was Mega Man 2 and that Air Man stage was just brutal. I honestly thought my skills went bad or something. Every jump I made was just off causing unnecessary deaths. Where as when I played it on the original cartridge I can go through Air Man's stage no problem. It just amazes me that no one tested the Lagacy Collection before it was released.

For those that grabbed Cyberpunk 2077 Ultimate edition at the 75% off discount, we salute you.
For those who don’t know, it was a pricing error. We presume someone swapped Cyberpunk with Witcher 3 sale prices. Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Complete Edition was 42% off while it has a history of being 75% off according to Deku Deals. Further, Nintendo’s winter holiday sale in NA only mentions up to 50% on select SW2 titles.
Cyberpunk 2077 quickly became the best seller on the Switch 2 eShop. It was such a good deal, it was cheaper to buy the ultimate edition than just buying the Phantom Liberty expansion on storefronts like GoG (CDProjekts store) or Steam.
I grabbed my copy and happy I did. I put in about an hour last night and was blown away how well it runs and looks on Switch 2. This is coming from a PC gamer with a high end system. Don’t get me wrong, this is really a game I would have preferred in physical edition knowing how they did it right, but at that discount, it was a no brainer.
I am extremely curious what the heck happened.
In other news, I also grabbed both Hollow Knight and Silksong, as well as Blasphemous 1 and 2. I’ll wait a bit for the upcoming Hollow Knight SW2 upgrade. I recently beat Metroid Dread so you could say it influenced my choices…
