@DreamlandGem Me too. The 24th was such a lovely day for me! ❤️

@Sunsy Ah gotcha... guess it got too cold for them. I did do snow shoveling fairly recently as well. Indeed... my body won't be having any of this if I'm out in these temperatures. I enjoy watching it snow when I'm inside and all warm, it is pretty to look at. But going out with that kind of weather is a different story. I can't wait for spring, lol.

Yeah, I tried out one of the Uncharted games and that recent God of War game, but I didn't enjoy them. I think I would like the new Ratchet & Clank as well... but I just don't want to shell out like $500 for a PS5, only to play just a couple games on it. I already got a Switch 2 anyway, lol. Oh nice, I don't think I played that game actually... the ones I played were the point-and-click ones. That must have been a Freddi Fish spin-off of sorts.

I found a game on GOG that I'm familiar with! I used to play The Incredible Machine when I was in school years ago, and I see that they have the Mega Pack of it. It works on Windows 10 and 11, so it should work fine for me.

That's cool, I don't think I made too much progress in it, I remember liking how they did the animations and stuff like that though. I probably said this before, but that is very cool you used Sega Channel back in the day... that service was very much ahead of its time. I was too young when SC first came out, and we didn't have a Genesis back then, we just had the SNES. Much later on, I did at least play a couple games that used to be SC exclusives, namely Pulseman and Mega Man: The Wily Wars. The closest I ever got is having access to Genesis games on NSO's expansion pack.

I think I may start being on this site less in the near future. It's not because I dislike anyone here, but for a different reason.

In the article about Tomodachi Life, I stated that I am glad that the game is introducing more non-binary options, as well as having the option to not do those too. Because I think that more options are a good thing. But some people were talking about how they don't like that kind of stuff in games. And those comments were removed. So people are allowed to complain about AI usage in game development? But not non-binary content in games? That just makes no sense. Plus, someone was using the term "hate speech" without having any idea what "hate speech" actually is. All of those comments being removed for no reason (including one of mine, where I agreed with someone who was talking about the sharing of opinions) really grinds my gears. Also, I managed to read all of those comments before they were taken down, and none of them sounded like "hate speech" to me. I have made this post as nice as possible, so I really hope it isn't taken down, just so people know that I might be on the site less in the future.

@D-Star92 I'm the same way. The few times it snowed, I opened my curtains, let the snow fall, and played some classic games. It's been too cold, with the temperature's low hitting -7 the other night. But it's been nice inside. The sidewalk nearby isn't cleaned anyway so I can't really go for my walks. As soon as it's clean, and the temps aren't teens or below, I will go on my walk.

Yeah, similarly I watched a PlayStation showcase years ago, and I got nothing from it. It just looked boring to me. Whereas Nintendo's Directs has games, and the Xbox showcase has PC games. I think it was called Freddi Fish and Luther's Maze Madness. It was like Pac-Man and had lots of levels. Instead of dots, Freddi collected kelp seeds. Fun game, it's even on Steam.

Awesome! That's a classic I never heard of.

I think I made it to the end, the raft level escaping Monstro. Disney, please re-release Pinocchio, I mean they're re-releasing their other games. I have Aladdin for SNES on PC now thanks to their classic games collection. Indeed, to think we have Nintendo Classics and Xbox Game Pass now, and Sega did the service thing back in the mid-90's. Cool, I still need to try the SNES Mega Man game on my SNES Mini.

I've been playing some FFXIV again, on Steam Deck this time, and it runs really well. Since it was also designed for consoles and mouse/kb from the start, it controls like a dream.

Given that it runs so well on SD I feel Square really should release it on Switch 2 (as has been hinted at), it should have no problems running it. It will likely suffer some slowdown in big cities with multiple dozens of players around much like the SD, but I don't think anyone will be bothered by that. The game is also very friendly towards variable latency — I've played on both 5G and my local wifi without any issues, solo and in parties.

@Sunsy That's nice. I love the feeling of being all nice and warm while it's snowing outside. It's a wonderful, comfy-cozy feeling to me, especially since I love Christmastime and that I was born during the winter. I might be a little weird for this, but I like to jokingly say "Merry Christmas!" every time it snows. I'm the same way too, I go for walks when it's not too cold out.

It just goes to show how I miss the old PlayStation. The PS1 and PS2 had games that felt like games to me, and not like live-action dramas or something, lol. Oh nice, that does look like it would be fun. I do like a good Pac-Man game and I remember Freddi Fish from my childhood.

Glad I told you about it then! I would like to give The Incredible Machine another try one day.

That'd be great for sure. I would love to see the Mickey Mouse Magical Quest games get rereleases as well, those look like they would be a lot of fun. Didn't they put Aladdin for the SNES in the collection later on as a software update? I know that one was made by Capcom (who also made the Magical Quest series). You should for sure, Mega Man X is a really good game. And I say that as someone who has been a Mega Man fan for a good long while now.

i just started watching the first 3 episodes of The Beauty on slingtv which i dvr recorded the episodes.

i assume its an odd new horror sci fi show made by that Ryan guy who also did American Horror Stories?

the Beauty starts off odd with spontaneous combustion explosion of a too skinny model biker.

show starts off like Fringe

So, I booted up my Wii U and played Star Fox Zero for the first time in years today.

@D-Star92 Nah, that sounds like a fun joke to say. Similarly when it snows, I turn on Christmas lights in my bedroom. I usually keep my bedroom lights up and use them throughout the winter on some days.

Yeah, there was so much variety with games on PlayStation in the past. I remember all the games I played on my brother's PlayStation. Now it feels like they just release The Last of Us over and over. Yes, Nintendo does re-releases, and so does Xbox, but these feel like years apart, rather than every couple of years. That's how I felt, it felt like I was watching dramas with that presentation. Cool, it might be something you may like.

Yeah, that's one I didn't know about. GOG even said Disney published it. Though checking Moby Games (I usually check this to look at info, box art, screenshots, etc), it's a Sierra game.

They did, as a DLC, the GOG version didn't include DLC rather combined the games into one package. I have the SNES version of Aladdin for PC thanks to this one. I'm glad too, since that game was the Disney game from my childhood. Funnily enough, I beaten it and remembered where to go after years of not playing it. I'll try to, I've been on a SNES kick lately. Playing games on Nintendo Classics (I've gotten good at Tuff E Nuff, that game with the weird box art that calls you a "punk," lol), and dusted off my SNES Mini recently.
