You can tell from the design looking.
Fantasy Life I is about Time Travel.
When your main character & Skelegon separated after through the warp portal, they landed on a kingdom which you can see everything from people's outfits, building architecture, building pattern, the king's throne, your Job outfits design is very Mayan civilization style.
Even there are some corn furniture from the stack of corns, dried corns, grilled corn on a plate, etc. Corn was primary food during Mayan civilization.
Also, the timeline in Present after the whole kingdom destroyed thousand years later, you will find a huge hole which lead you the very high tech ancient dungeon like Zelda BOTW style.

Well, my Xbone is going off to be repaired tomorrow. HDD replacement probably, but it's getting too slow. I'm a bit into Banjo again.

My backlogs are primarily on Nintendo and Sony systems.

@CaleBoi25, M&Ms are one of my favorite candies ever 🥰. Specifically the classic and peanut ones. I haven't had any in months though. I do have a large, unopened pack from this year's Easter though. I've been keeping it sealed and unopened because of the news that starting this year, M&Ms are going to be having more natural coloring (which is supposedly healthier) in the United States, which is where I live. Several of the food brands I eat have tried becoming more "natural" and "healthy" over the years, and they always end up never being as yummy, which makes me boycott them. So since I might be boycotting M&Ms in the near future, I'm saving my M&Ms from before they announced the "healthier natural" coloring just in case, since I like my unhealthy M&Ms.

@CaleBoi25 I do love peanut butter and peanut M&M's, but I really don't care normal M&M's. There are so many chocolates with more interesting flavors, (Reese's, Milkyway, Cookies & cream bar, ect.) M&M's to me are so mid. They often don't have the right crunch, and they are so small, it sometimes feels like I'm not eating anything. Again, I don't hate them, I just think they are crazy overated. (But, of course, if M&M's give you joy, more power to you to continue to enjoy them

@ShieldHero Personally, I am all in favor of healthier foods - though M&Ms are the exception, since they obviously aren't healthy at all! I am glad they are trying to reduce the eyes, but I can totally see why you would be worried about the flavor.
@CobaltFan fair enough! I think they deserve thy hype, especially for the Peanut Butter ones... 😋 I love those so much!

Oh yeah, I do try doing that, the issue is the limbs sometimes aren’t long enough as the reference, but I don’t really like lengthening the limbs because it makes the characters look disproportionate. Well, I’ve been trying to draw HTF characters but almost all the characters are short and stubby, I have been able to make a few of the poses work but the limbs are so short they can’t fit some poses, and I’m trying to have the designs still resemble the original versions instead of redesigning them. Though, after playing a new game on my phone, I’m very interested in trying to draw them in a 1930s rubberhose style now…

Yeah, painting looks hard but everyone else makes it look easy! Again, acrylic markers would probably be easier for me to use. It’s like paint, except less messy and in marker form. There are a ton of pens made for drawing and come in different sizes and are made to fit different materials, like fineline pens & waterproof pens that also don’t smudge with markers, since ballpoint pens are mostly used for writing and smudge, but they can be used to make great art though! I used them a lot last year, but I don’t really use them anymore. It can be time consuming. I’ve never really been to art museums, but it’d be fun to go to one!

Yeah I also prefer to stick to games I’m familiar with and know I’ll have an easy time playing. But playing online can kind of be risky for me, mainly with the connection having issues and the time I have, so I prefer to play offline. I have a better time in Splat Zones if it’s one zone. If it’s two, it’s annoying because your team has to actively manage both. My favorite ranked mode though, has to be Rainmaker, but I like the others too!

It sucks, I found out the Perfect Dark reboot was actually close to getting revived after cancellation, didnt though because the company wanting to revive it wanted rights to the series and Microsoft refused. Oh well, but I don’t get why Microsoft keeps IP they know they won’t use for years, and after this cancellation, I know for sure they’ll probably never use PD again. Yes, after a while they toned down the always online thing and removed the Kinect requirement, but they honestly shouldn’t have had it in the first place, especially since it was damaging to the console, in fact, people say they never recovered from the presentation and it’s what made the One (and the Series consoles) sell significantly less than the 360. Yeah, Xbox still does have a playerbase, but the Switch and PS5 are the most popular and sold more. Game Pass is very popular on the Xbox, and it was pretty fun when I had it, but I don’t really have a want for it anymore.

And I see everyone is talking about candy in this thread? M&M’s are awesome, milk chocolate is a classic, but Buncha Crunch clusters are addicting for me right now! Probably shouldn’t be eating the whole box (or candy in general) in one sitting though…

The AI stuff really sucks, but I kind of am hearing nobody talk about it anymore? It sounds like the YouTube AI skipped some accounts, from what some people said…the AI they’re trying to implement there is stupid. Speaking of YouTube, I won’t lie but I dislike the large emphasis on shorts. It makes it hard for me to find longer videos I want to watch, even when I search solely for videos, the setting randomly revert to all videos, including shorts…

Hope the replacement went well! I really want to play my Xbox to finish some games on there, but the HDMI cord needs to be repaired, game won’t even show up on my screen! Hope the Banjo playthrough goes well.

My backlogs are really just on the Xbox and phone. Though, not a lot of games to actually “beat,” since they don’t exactly have a story or ending to them.

@Pastellioli ive never heard of buncha crunch before, may i ask what its like? candy’s scrumptious but can definitely be addicting 😿 the other day i discovered this new candy called Squashies that are actually really tasty, and ate the whole bag. but whats wrong with a little treat every once in a bit! 🙂

Don't know where else to say this.

Yesterday's news about Nintendo of America and the Pokémon Company attempting to patent summoning sub characters for battle is a blatant overreach. It would basically make it so almost all JRPG series can no longer exist without massively changing their mechanics (making them no longer the same, and also stifling creativity). I'm sorry, Pokémon is my favorite franchise ever, but I don't want Pokémon to be the only summoning sub characters for battle series! If they actually do get this patent and start using it to bully other game developers, then I am just done with Nintendo. For life. 😡😡😡 Honestly, the only reasons I'm not taking a break from this site right now is because I like chatting with y'all and that upcoming Nintendo Direct live blog chat tomorrow. I wouldn't take a break because I hate this site (I have no issues with this site at all), I would just take a break because I hate Nintendo.

Honestly, this is just another domino in a chain of dominos that has been falling since September 2024 that have been slowly making me dislike Nintendo for the first time in my life, and it's only getting worse. Like a very slow kind of worse, where you try to keep going but it slowly gets even harder to keep going, and you keep getting crushed over and over until you just drop to the ground in pain and misery and give up. And all of this is coming from me, who tries to be as positive as possible.

If I end up quitting Nintendo completely (which is not happening yet, at least for the time being), I'll probably still play some of the Nintendo games that I already have every once in a while. And I'll probably still chat with y'all in the forums and maybe comment in an article every once in a while. And if I ever need to take a break, I'll say I need one in the Vacation Thread. Also, if I'm done with Nintendo, then I'm certainly not getting a Switch 2. And this is coming from me, who just recently decided to get a Switch 2, potentially as soon as next year.

I'm just really upset right now, especially since this patent threatens JRPGs, which are my favorite kind of game. I probably won't be posting much else here for the rest of the day.

Again, I have no problems with any of you, I just have some beef with Nintendo and the Pokémon Company right now. I should still be present for the Nintendo Direct chat though. I'm really excited for that. 🥰

@OctolingKing13 It’s a candy based on the Crunch Bar, Buncha Crunch is bits of crisped rice covered in chocolate! Very sweet & bit crunchy but not extremely crunchy, I actually only had it for the first time a few months ago. There’s a fairly good amount of candy in the box & it’s worth the price in my opinion, especially since some other chocolate candy brands have only have half of the box filled. if I remember, it can be bought at Walmart & Dollar Tree.

I haven’t heard of Squashies before! What are they?

@Pastellioli that sounds absolutely delicious, and i say that as a fan of chocolate rice crispies! ill have to check it out sometime 🙂 its always soo disappointing when expensive candy boxes are halfway filled!
squashies are made by the brand that makes smarties i think, theyre pretty rare to find, but if you do, theyre are amazing. theyre a chewy fruit candy thats perfect in my opinion.

@OctolingKing13 You should! Very good, and worth the money. When you do, I hope you like them! And yeah, some of my favorite candy brands only fill half of the box and it’s disappointing. I like Junior Mints a lot but the one thing I don’t like about those is that only half of the box is full. I finish it way too fast because of that. The only candy brands I’ve eaten so far that fill the box a good amount is Buncha Crunch, Whoppers, and Goobers.

@PeterTomlan86 I think I played like 10 hours of it back in the day? I don't remember. I only played as the paladin. I actually did start a new game like a year or two ago, but I don't like its slow beginning. I don't remember what I thought of the narrative, but I often don't pay too much attention to the story when I play games. I tend to focus on gameplay, replay value, and music.

I actually have Pokemon Legends: Arceus, and I think it is a pretty good game. Love the exploration aspect of it... especially since I liked Breath of the Wild. Arceus is the one Pokemon game I have on the Switch. I've not played Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl.

Wooooooooo dragon quest 7 remake

There's a lot coming out. The Galaxy games are no surprise with a Galaxy movie, and the Yoshi game kinda isn't as well as we think about the last teaser from the first Mario Movie. I don't know, im not hyped for the Mario Movie now. Its now on Netflix and I dont think its that spectacular anymore. Hoping to see Wario in a movie about Galaxy isn't something I am thinking about but you never know.
