About what games I play online, truth be told I’m not the biggest multiplayer person, particularly not when the session needs to be arranged and scheduled, but I do have stuff like Pokemon, Stardew Valley and Animal Crossing.

@Anti-Matter yup well have a fairly good chance to admire it where I live. Hopefully I’ll to take a decent pic or something.

@Tyranexx That's awesome. I'd say it's my favorite Nintendo handheld before the Switch came out as well! I've replayed some 3DS games in more recent years as well... namely Super Mario 3D Land, Zelda: A Link Between Worlds, and more recently, Animal Crossing: New Leaf.

Eclipse visible over much of North America today. I'm actually in the totality zone, but barely. I took the afternoon off and will be traveling to a local town that has much more totality than the ~50 seconds we're getting here. Conditions are as optimal as they'll be for early spring (some sunshine and clouds). Beats the rain they were forecasting a week ago.

@MarioVillager92 I'd like to replay some of my 3DS library too, including A Link Between Worlds, OoT/MM 3D, and Super Mario 3D Land. However, I still have a small backlog of unplayed games, mostly RPGs. A couple are for the normal DS too (Final Fantasy IV and Dragon Quest IX).

How was situation over there at your place while waiting for solar eclipse?
Too bad, here in Indonesia nothing special happened in the sky today, just some clouds in the sky and heavy rain in the early morning. 😅

@Anti-Matter Some roads are pretty busy. It hasn't happened yet though. Totality here is in just over 3 1/2 hours as of this writing. The moon will start covering the sun in about 2 1/4 hours. It's currently about 10:30 AM here.

We're not getting an eclipse over here, the clouds decided to visit.

It's raining again at my place 1.26 am.
At the same time, the solar eclipse at USA is already started.
The sun is already looked like red crescent shape and it will be total eclipse in next hour.

@Anti-Matter during an eclipse, what would otherwise be normal dots of light in the shadows of tree leaves, become little moon-shapes.

You can also replicate it by punching a hole in a piece of cardboard and holding it high, instead of a dot of light, you’ll see the little moon-shape in the shadow.

The solar eclipse I watched from YouTube looked amazing.
It started from red crescent that became smaller then total eclipse with corona light from the sun.
It's funny to realize long time ago peoples really afraid with solar eclipse because they assumed the sun get devoured by demon or fictional creatures and it was a sign of bad omen.
But now, it has a scientific explanation and it's not the sun get devoured by something.

I viewed it in person, including totality. It was...amazing. I got a few pictures on my phone by covering the lens with one side of my viewers. Not nearly as good as in person or with one of those expensive high powered cameras and other instruments, but they'll do. The coolest thing was the corona around the moon, the surrounding sky becoming dusk-like, and even being able to see a few stars! At just after 2PM local time.

No pictures quite like Eel though. The trees aren't fully leafed out yet, and the area I viewed the eclipse was intentionally devoid of them.

@Tyranexx excellent, thank you. I’m on a small trip and haven’t had the time to check the 3DS before I left but I’ll take a look when I get back on Saturday. Only took the Switch this time, I’ll likely attack my growing stash of Mario games. Thanks to @Eel too, though for others I imagine it’s a little late sadly. Was fun.

Glad to have you and @MarioVillager92 on voice nevertheless, would love to do it again when you’re free in the future. Either weekend day will work and when I’m back in the UK I can go for longer since it’s less late than over here.

I wasn't able to see the eclipse, unfortunately. It was cloudy at my area by the time the eclipse happened, but it did get darker! And that was during the daytime, afternoon to be more precise. It was during 3-3:30 PM at my time zone. It was a pretty unusual experience, lol.

@Tyranexx That would be cool, yeah there are quite a few RPGs that I should get more time into... provided that I'm in the mood for an RPG, of course. Stuff like Dragon Quest XI and Persona 5, but I do know those games are real long. Actually, I have been considering revisiting Wind Waker HD... I've finished it long ago and I really liked it. Glad you got to see the eclipse, by the way. I couldn't see it since it was too cloudy, but that also might have to do with what area I'm in.

The solar eclipse was really breathtaking to watch, well... I only can watch from YouTube when the sun getting covered by the moon during countdown. 😅
There will be another solar eclipse again in October 2024, but it will be annular solar eclipse and it will covering the ocean of South America part.
Too bad, Indonesia will not experience with total solar and lunar eclipse during this year.

@Anti-Matter Oh yeah, everything that lets gaps of sunlight through them was casting eclipses.😁

Here's the light poking through window blinds, and the second pic down, I held up a colander/vegetable strainer.
