Feeling hopeful about the future is a super strong drug and we just want to feel it once more, even if for a while. Sadly it was gone in 2010.

@Scooby-Doo really well! Work's been hectic but I found some healthy balance.

I also managed to get my hands on a rare manga, Mermaid Melody from 2002, Japanese version, a real white crow.

And now I have craving for Sailor Moon after seeing you talk about it

Also, don't think I've heard of that manga you mention, what's it about?

@Scooby-Doo it's a shoujo manga about mermaids who have to gather and summon a super mermaid to calm the seas. So in reality, it's like another magical girl series, they transform etc. but it's really good.

I love the artstyle too

@Princess_Lilly I think that I've seen that name before, actually, but I didn't know what it was. Is there a reason it's so rare?

@Scooby-Doo It wasn't as popular as Tokyo Mew Mew, Sailor Moon, or CardCaptor Sakura, I think.

@Sunsy I will order clothes online, but I'm not a fan of doing so. I prefer to try on clothes before buying them. That way I don't need to mess with returns. Online ones can especially be a pain. Clothes can be labeled one size but can fit differently depending on who makes them and the material.

Oh, Brock's "jelly donuts"! XD That dubbed line deserves to be memed. Some of that localization stuff did go over my head as a kid, but not all. I knew donuts didn't look like that lol. I've never had a bona fide onigiri. I'd definitely try one sometime. Not sure I have the resources and patience to make one on my own. There is a Japanese steakhouse nearby, but they only offer sushi where sticky rice is concerned. I will eat shrimp in any form, but I prefer grilled or cooked/chilled. Both from taste and the fact I really try to limit fried foods. I eat fried stuff but make it a once in a great while treat.

@Tyranexx I can see that. I usually just stick to character shirts online since most stores sell Trolls shirts in kids sizes, while the Trolls Amazon store has them in adult sizes. Everything else, I usually go to my local Target or Walmart for. I once ordered shorts from Walmart's website, they kept giving me the wrong size. So I usually just stick to character shirts online.

Thought you'd like that joke. XD The onigiri I've made is usually just salted rice, shaped and wrapped in nori. Got the recipe from a Japanese cookbook I had, I have tried putting imitation crab in the middle of it once when my mom had some, which was pretty good. That sounds nice, I can't remember how I made it, but I think I once made shrimp without frying it, mostly for a salad for mom.

Oh cool, Square Enix actually updated the mobile versions of the Pixel Remaster titles to include the boost options and controller support.

That makes them actually on par with the switch versions now.

Speaking of "jelly donuts", Ash had to carry a huge onigiri, and in the 4Kids dub they airbrushed it into a giant sandwich instead.

@Eel Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster? I kinda wish there was an option to retain original graphics, those "remasters" look awful in my opinion. Maybe I'm just used to the original. FFV on PS Vita looks glorious, nothing that the modern FFs can even hope to achieve

@Princess_Lilly YEah, I woluld read it from a site, but I want the physical version of it. Some manga I'll read online, others I wanna read in hand. Like for example, I read Happy Sugar Life online but have the first two volumes (in one omnibous) of Tokyo Mew Mew and I refuse to read the rest online.

@EllaTheQueen6 I only read online when there is absolutely no way I can get my hands on the original, mostly because it was erased from the existence in this timeline and nobody has a single copy to sell.

Tokyo Mew Mew, I remember buying it a few years after it came out I think. I wish I bought more shoujo manga back then.
