@EaglyBird It’s always so crazy because hey straight up tell you what it is without telling you what it is! They foreshadow it throughout the whole game!
Walterpon? Lmao! My guy really was just selling pollen like candy!
Late replies because gaming again. This time the space combat sim Wing Commander Academy, and the newly released to free-to-play Disney Speedstorm. Loving Disney Speedstorm so far. Yeah it's free-to-play with microtransactions, that's expected, the game is really fun to play and they did a great job capturing Disney movies with great remixes!
@Sunsy I don't have Netflix as I don't normally watch hardly any TV. But I do consider subbing on and off. Games and the occasional YT video are usually the lots to my screen entertainment. It's mainly a prioritize time thing.
Alrighty. Almost similar to me, whenever I'm not watching cartoons, anime, or animated movies, it's usually YouTube or games.
@Sunsy It does seem to be doing really well, actually, so there is definitely hope. It was actually a pretty good move on Nintendo's part, taking the first game and making it into the format that was used for Tetris 99. The original F-Zero is the one that most people remember, I think. Yeah same here, I was surprised that TTYD's getting a remake as well... considering how much Paper Mario has changed over the years, I didn't think that Nintendo would even consider doing that, but here we are! Have you played any of the Paper Mario games? I've played most of them, the only one I skipped was Color Splash. My favorite ones are the N64 original and The Thousand-Year Door.
That's awesome. I still hope Metroid Prime 4's development is going OK, by the way. There wasn't any word on it on the latest Nintendo Direct. I'm getting a bit concerned about it.
Oh gotcha, I see. I no longer have it, unfortunately. That's cool. You'd need to buy the Capcom arcade games individually for Capcom Arcade Stadium, right? I actually have a couple of the games featured in that, though via a different collection. I have Mega Man Anniversary Collection for the PS2, that one has the two unlockable Mega Man arcade games. They're pretty much boss rush games that have co-op.
I think you'll like DuckTales Remastered, especially if you're a Disney fan and you like 2D platformers. Been wanting to give Turtles in Time a shot one of these days. Thank goodness it's part of the TMNT collection that was made fairly recently.
Same here, I remember playing with another friend of mine online in Mario Kart Wii when the Wii's online was still around. We'd do both races and battles together. Good times. I'm happy to see that Peach is getting another game of her own, too.
About your reply with @JONOFTHEJONS, yeah I still feel the same way. Totally happy with this community. I also don't comment on articles, at least most of the time - depends on what the article is. Just like with YouTube comments, a lot of Nintendo Life's articles' comment sections can get very heated, and reading through them is not very good for my mental health. So I just stick with NL's boards.
Yeah, honestly, the SNES game comes to mind whenever I think F-Zero too. I did rent F-Zero GX a long time ago, beyond that I remember renting F-Zero on SNES, and I have it on Wii U. Surprisingly, I never played any of the Paper Mario games. I did almost consider Color Splash on Wii U when I was looking for something new to play, but I never did pick it up or check it out.
Yeah, they've been really quiet about the game. Hope there's some news on it soon.
Yeah, you need to buy the games individually, though I think Street Fighter 2 was part of a special promotion involving the game's anniversary. I remember claiming it on both Switch and PC, lol. Nice, Mega Man 2 is still the only one I've played, and I know I have one of the games sitting on my SNES Classic there that I don't think I've played yet.
I still need to find the time to play DuckTales. Amazingly, I did unlock Donald Duck in Disney Speedstorm when I started it yesterday. Really liking the game so far, albeit it's free-to-play with the usual free-to-play stuff (microtransactions, season passes, etc). Enjoy it when you do, Turtles In Time was good from what I remembered.
Cool, I use to just do random Mario Kart races, I still do when I play online on Wii U and now Switch. Me too, it's so nice to see Peach get another game.
Indeed, I haven't commented much on articles either because of how heated it gets, though I do love how @Anti-Matter and @EaglyBird tagged me in the Trolls announcement article. Last article I commented on was for the Bluey game, mentioning how good the cartoon was. I remember someone made an account just to trash talk Bluey. : Though I'm surprised that never happened in the Trolls game article. Probably going to get the Trolls game on PC first, and hopefully get the Switch one physically for Christmas. I want it on both, because I always said I would get the game on Switch and PC. Especially after losing Trolls Pop on mobile.
@EaglyBird I'm gonna take a guess that it's Puss In Boots: The Last Wish. That does remind me, I remember the BTS stuff on the Pinocchio DVD showed they used real actors to reference some of the animation.
You should check it out. Despite being a show meant for younger kids in the 2-5 age group, it's really good.
The resident Trolls superfan! Saw Trolls Band Together via early access and absolutely loved it!
@EaglyBird That's really interesting, especially since I've seen animation critics on YouTube don't like the Trolls movies. That's really cool Trolls is in a film class book teaching others about animation techniques. Super cool. I take it animation critics on YouTube don't know the kind of stuff that goes into making animation. Only a guess.
It's nice to know that, here I was thinking Puss In Boots because of all its praise. Even cooler, they used DreamWorks instead of Disney. I don't even hate Disney at all, actually, watching Sofia the First as I type this.
@EaglyBird That's really cool. Yeah, honestly, the arts and crafts aesthetic really helps in its beauty. Even noticing some more of that in the more recent trailer too. Now that you mention it, I remember reading somewhere that the biggest challenge for Trolls was the glitter effects. Here's an article I found, though I think I read it elsewhere.
Yeah, I more or less was referring to classic Disney. That's fine. That reminds me, I should be able to watch those shows due to having Disney+, I did start Owl House and loved what I saw.
Awesome.
Edit: Ok, looking at that article, holy cow, I had no idea the scrapbook scenes were done by actually putting together actual fabrics and felt. Like that is really awesome DreamWorks.
