@Professor_Plumber Aside from being bored with my username and losing interest in my Kitsune fursona? I decided to try something new: a random first name and a random word. And this will be my new system on any new accounts I set up in the future.
Cats can be jerks. You pet them every time you see them, play with them, and feed them morning and night. Then when it comes down to it they choose someone else to sit by instead of you.
Kinda accurate, more like bugs in general. True tho.
with mr person we are referring ot that confused individual from the zelda thread?
yeah actually I wrote an even lengthier response but decided that it's no use trying to reason with a potato and everyone else would be just disgusted so I deleted it. (I still got it somewhere in case anybody wants it bear in mind I didn't pull many stops there)
But what struck me was that he rejected everything that didn't fit a very very simplistic worldview. Ofc there was whataboutism and US bad, mistaking political and economical systems, and so on. The way they turned everything by its tails was kinda pathetic too
Maybe I'm just overanalyzing, I mean I know how simplistic they are because of their lacking education system, but I've known it for a long time, it's hair raising how different is what they are taught in school from reality
I might come off as hateful myself, but I want to believe that I hate only the ones that hurt others, my blood boils every time I hear about people suffering in the name of some wacky ideology
I tried making mochi. Nothin fancy, just chocolate flavored squares following the recipe on the box. It’s hard to mix in the chocolate syrup into the mochi dough but they came out alright. I’ll try making ice cream filled mochi balls next time with the other half of the flour.
@Professor_Plumber well, it was just a tiny geopolitics lesson from me, not really that relevant if you're not interested in that region. And some obvious confusion and whataboutism on the other side.
I thought that interacting with one of those won't be beneficial at all, but looking back, I got to feel firsthand just how unhinged and underleveled they are. Completely oblivious to so many matters. It's sad how literally 1/3 of the world is just a product of their countries' propaganda, absolute drones with no consciousness, no abstract thoughts, reduced to the roles of walking puppets. It's scary.
Mochi is made with sticky rice pouned together to a paste with a mallet
@Sunsy: Thanks; posting on my new phone now in fact. A couple of bumps to be sure, but overall the phone transition was smooth. We got a bit of the smoke haze where I live, but we only had one day where the whole state was under an advisory of sorts. It was definitely hazy, but not at dangerous levels.
I think I will enjoy the Trolls movies; I love animated movies more than love action ones most of the time. Seems weird that DreamWorks scatters their digital library around so much though.
Awesome. Yeah where I live, the haze was in the air, but it wasn't as bad as New York City. Checking a webcam, the whole city was covered in orange, and you could barely see the skyline. I went out for a haircut not knowing (don't really watch the news) and I was having asthma problems days prior to when this happened, so didn't know about it until I was waiting at my barber shop and the TV was on. Thankfully, the asthma is better (small update for @ComfyAko too) so I feel good now.
I'm the same way, I always prefered animation to live action movies. Yeah, it's weird too since most DreamWorks movies come out on Peacock first (Boss Baby 2, Spirit Untamed, Bad Guys and Puss In Boots did this).
@Sunsy Ah ok, that's good you're on the road to recovery. That wildfire smoke hit our area, too... my mom came back one day and told me that there's been a wildfire going on in Canada, and my goodness, that smoke smell was atrocious. It's gone now, thankfully, in my area at least.
That's cool. I also liked Super Mario Run, that and the aforementioned Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp were my two favorite Nintendo mobile games. Both of them work great on mobile, too. I wanted to like Mario Kart Tour, but I did not like how that game controlled, so I gave up on it very early on. Which is why I'm happy that I can play Tour's courses via 8 Deluxe now. But yeah, I'd rather play on Nintendo's own consoles and PC. On a side note, I'm not sure if I'd ever want a PS5. That'd be another expense on my end, and I didn't really like Sony's newer exclusives that much. They felt too movie-ish for my liking.
Yes, I played the MPH demo with the stylus. Same with pretty much all other games that used the touch screen. There might be a small glimmer of hope since Metroid Prime 1 got remastered, I only hope that MP4's not going through any development heck at least. Not sure if Nintendo got too cocky with announcing the game as early as they did... they probably wanted to have the game out by 2018 or 2019, but we know that didn't happen.
Exactly! You don't have to have your back hurt from that weight. Mom and I were talking about this and she brought up that same thing. Gotcha, that makes sense. Pretty much all the merch I've seen during the 2000s were just based on cartoons and movies, nothing based on games. At that time I only had a few tees that were based on games. Everything else was just normal, everyday clothes.
That's awesome, do you still have that VHS copy? Or you just use Disney+ or a DVD copy? It's a good movie for sure... that might actually be a good one to put on since summertime is almost here.
Yeah absolutely, Sonic Superstars looks great for sure. It literally could be a Sonic 4, yeah! Since it's using all-new zones instead of the classic ones. I will admit that I didn't really like the actual Sonic 4 that much, the controls didn't feel right to me, but that's cool you liked it. I never played episode 2 but I did hear it was a slight improvement.
The strangest part, I actually have no sense of smell. That also played a role into not knowing what was going on. Yet I can taste food just fine, lol.
I have yet to try any of Nintendo's mobile offerings, all the Nintendo games I have played been on their original systems, or through stuff like NSO's SNES, NES, GB offerings or the virtual console. I always look at consoles this way, which ones have the games I want to play the most on. Usually it ends up being Nintendo, because the games I want to play on Xbox or PlayStation are on PC too and I figure I can play them there. My brother had a PlayStation 1 before switching to Xbox. Me, I had N64, GameCube, and a PC. I do play some games on both, I started playing Apex on PC, now I have it on Switch to play it there. I play it on both Switch and PC.
Amusing part is, I played GoldenEye DS with a stylus, as well as Call of Duty Modern Warfare DS (Picked this up in early 2020 for like $8, impressive how they mad COD on a handheld), not once thinking about that DS wrist strap. Yeah, they been awfully quiet.
Yeah, it makes perfect sense too. Yeah, in the 2000's most cartoon merch was for kids too, I was lucky to be small enough to fit into a Boys XL, since a lot of my favorites were in kids sizes (Jimmy Neutron, Sonic, etc). Nowadays, I have no problems getting adult sized character shirts thanks to online shopping. It's kind of crazy to think my Trolls shirts are officially licensed and in adult sizes, since this would have been kids only years ago. I remember in the 2000's having a Jimmy Neutron lunchbag that look like his jet pack... yes I still used it while in high school. I went to a special needs school, so I didn't get picked on over it.
I don't think I have the VHS copy anymore, but I do have the DVD/Blu-Ray copy of The Little Mermaid. Last time I watched it was on Disney+. I want to see the remake, but the upcoming movie Ruby Gillman has my attention even more. I have to be choosy over what I see in the theaters, so I want to make it Ruby Gillman for summer, and Trolls Band Together for the fall.
Honestly, since seeing Trolls, I've been enjoying DreamWorks movies quite a bit. Before Trolls, I saw Peabody and Sherman and Shrek. After Trolls, I watched more of them, and seeing that special Trolls World Tour showing and Puss In Boots in theaters.
Actually, I feel Episode 2 was an improvement, plus it has co-op. It kind of reminds me of Sonic Advance 3, having two copies allowed two players to co-op the main game. Also, this is my guess to why it wasn't on Wii, it feels like it has a different engine. I remember the environments had a 3D look to them, vs. Episode 1's flat look. You could see the depth of it.
@ComfyAko I haven't played it yet, I'll probably try it out soon. I keep seeing so many memes about it that I don't get. @TeaCatherine So apparantly some of us 'Mericans microwave our tea. I'm so done with this country. No, the way I do it isn't classy either, it's just turning on the hot tap water and sticking a tea bag in, but it's certainly better than a microwave.

@ComfyAko Ah, Ako, allow me to explain this whole thing.
Long before time had a name (So about 5 months ago) a certain girl woke up and saw her friend taken over by moose. She then gathered her Nekomimi Cult to cure the moose brain. Nekomimi won.
Ok, but really, Kermit started a Moose Cult/Club thing, and I thought I'd be funny and make a Nekomimi Cult (It already existed but not in the forums) and then we went to war with Moose for about a day and we won.
