@ogo79 You're right. We should probably upgrade that to Skeletor himself for a little more challenge.
@Colonel_Mustache I played Sonic The Hedgehog 2 to try to see what all the fuss was about since it's objectively the best classic game. As for Sonic Advance 3, the copy belonged to my brother, but he never showed any interest in it. I played it during a summer due to sheer boredom. Ah, to be bored enough like that again....
@TheJGG High praise indeed! I've only heard great things about Your Name, hence why it's on the "watch list". I'm trying to prioritize a movie a week into my schedule...hence Movie Tuesdays. Though lately those involve visits to a theater instead of home viewing lol.
@Ralizah Excellent! Your feedback is ticking all the right boxes...including another indirect vote for Your Name. I'm hoping to see it tomorrow evening. It'll require me leaving work a bit early to make the showing, but taking a shorter lunch should enable me to make it in time.
@Eagly Yeah, same to you. I wasn't actually on the site yesterday because I was rushing to finish XC2 but not the bad kind of rushing, anyway I managed, so right now I'm just thinking hurry up and let me download it. @EllaTheKawaiiNeko Yeah, that sucks. Sorry I didn't reply yesterday.
Currently playing: Metal Gear Solid
Back burner: Hollow Knight, Undertale
I decided to brush my old pillow pet to make the fur soft again. I used a beard brush, and it worked well enough, it looks a lot better now. Somehow, that concluded with me ordering a new one off Amazon.
This gave me a rush of pure nostalgia. Pillow pets were awesome.
Currently playing: Pokemon Soul Silver, Mario RPG
Enos 1:15
@blindsquarel I have two (a regular one, and a mini one), and they are like ten years old (maybe older). I still carry the mini one with me on long trips 😅... It's somehow in a better condition than the regular sized one which stays at home, that one has gone all floppy. (if you're curious, both are cows)
The new one I ordered is also of the smaller variety; it will too be used as a travel pillow. (It's a blueberry-scented cow, oh la la)
@Eagly Yup, realised this morning that Nintendolife only gave the US release date, ah well, it'll give me a chance to do a final bit of stuff in 2. I did really think it was releasing today so that's annoying, but I hear it's releasing 2AM tomorrow so I can get it downloaded first thing. Also, spoilers are around? That's a bummer, my sister might spoil it for me, she's been very annoyed at me lately. Also, looking forward to discussing it with you.
Watched Suzume last week. Fantastic film. While I don't expect anything he makes will ever live up to Your Name (a top five film overall for me), it's still the best piece of animation I've seen in years. Funny, action-packed, deeply-emotional, and paints a fantastic portrait of ordinary human life across modern Japan. @TheJGG If you liked the look of Garden of Words, which was visually distinct from a lot of Shinkai's work in certain respects, I recommend checking out Weathering With You. Same art director, Hiroshi Takiguchi, but unlike that picture, this production clearly had a way larger budget. While it's my least favorite of his 'disaster trilogy' (Your Name, Weathering, and Suzume), it might be the prettiest animated film ever made.

I've never seen any films outside of CoMiX and Ghibli that have evoked such a bizarre set of emotions; intensity, fragility, and the patience to just shut up and watch characters cook or write or enjoy the breeze. Could be a good idea for a new video essay; "Goodbye Studio Ghibli". But you bet I'm gonna watch Weathering With You, I assume the protagonists cameo in Suzume after all... I have a few days to watch that before I go see that. Aside from that I've also got John Wick and D&D to watch... so good to be back in the cinema!
But the anime film industry looks like it's gonna be in decent hands now that Miyazaki's done with filmmaking himself. When he releases How Do You Live?, it'll most likely spell the end of Studio Ghibli too, who on the whole have done so much for the wider craft of filmmaking than some of Disney/Pixar's talent, and I thought they were untouchable! Nah they're not.
Pop Quiz.

Y'all, ok, so, the 3ds has a feature where you can reinstall games that were previously on it, and my 3ds I got used when I was 8, and I never really cared to check the redownload page, but yesterday,I decided to, and I got, like, 5 free games. A lot of which were not even 3ds games, but ds and nes games that you could still buy n the eShop and use the built in nes emulator because Nintendo used to be fun and included emulators on their devices so you could play hecking nes games on your 3ds.
