@TheBigBlue the velma show does feel very… uh… confused about what it wants to be.

The titular character ultimately feels like just… Kelly from the office but meaner, and with the opposite mindset about her appearance. She seems to have the hots for most of the scooby gang, except whenever they do express romantic interest back, she goes back and rejects them huh.

I read a theory that WB didn’t let them use Shaggy or Scooby to protect the brand. So they skipped the dog, and reimagined Shaggy using his actual name instead.

@TeaCatherine The first game is tiger tiger and it comes with an rpg minigame called Xenoblade Chronicles 2

Also, there is a zoo in Peppa the Pig. Let that sink in.

@Colonel_Mustache thanks on the input on Fallen Order, it goes on the list! ... an incredibly long list

@TheBigBlue Yeah it's time for Nintendo to make Nintendo memes, everyone else have been doing it for them for years.

@Sunsy Funnily enough, I've never really played a Mortal Kombat title despite knowing a lot of the references. Kinda goes into how fighting games usually aren't my style lol. Probably the closest I've gotten to it was trying the original Killed Instinct. That one was...okay, but I had no clue how to pull off a lot of the combos.

You have to travel pretty far to get to a decent arcade these days. Usually they're part of franchises (Like Dave & Busters) or one of those family fun places. The part of the country I live in isn't too remote, but some stores/chains that many take for granted are 60-90 minutes away on average.

@MarioLover92 A Link to the Past was the tenth Zelda title I played for the first time (Is it nuts that I mostly remember the order? Lol), and that was the GBA port that shipped with the original Four Swords. I have played the SNES equivalent via the Mini though. You should indeed get back to Twilight Princess sometime, though I will admit some parts are a bit slow. I never really minded the game's beginning, which some people do complain about. Okami is well worth your time, especially if you like games with Zelda similarities, wolves, and entertaining, mildly lusty companions. XD Issun is a treasure, even if he did make me facepalm at times.

Currently playing: Pokemon Scarlet DLC, Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury (Switch)

@Sunsy Alice taught me about the phrase "itadakimasu", which according to Google means "I humbly accept" before every meal. Along with mochi, which I got a couple boxes of from Target's grocery freezer section.

I was really surprised they touched on that. I usually see the phrase used in anime. So seeing a young kids show touch on it is very cool.

I also learned about ponzu sauce from that episode thanks to Hattie.

@Sunsy That's cool. I did play Smash Bros. for the 3DS and Wii U quite a bit back when they came out. I kinda wish the Wii U game had better single-player content, but other than that it was a good time. I remember when they announced that Mega Man would be a playable character... as a fan of the Mega Man series, that seriously made my day! He's still one of my mains, as well. It's cool that Rosalina's playable, too, but I have a hard time playing as her. She's got a pretty high learning curve.

I have quite a lot of Nintendo Power magazines, the oldest one I have was from way back in 2002. I have a few other gaming magazines, too. Ah I see, I wouldn't know they made games for the ZX Spectrum until that Retro Gamer magazine I mentioned earlier. Only one I've played was Jetpac, without even knowing that as a kid, lol.

That is pretty interesting about Smurfs Dance Party. I guess that would make sense, seeing that the Toys R Us print has a bit of exclusive content. The Wii Sports version I have is the earlier print. I got my Wii pretty early on, I got it as a birthday present in 2007.

That's cool, wonder what you'd think of Disney Speedstorm when you play that. Alice's Wonderland Bakery sounds like a cute show. I agree with you, that's cool that Disney puts all those references to their classic movies in even their children's shows. Especially for those who grew up with the classics, I used to watch various Disney movies on VHS as a child, even those that originally came out in theaters way before my time - Pinocchio and 101 Dalmatians to give a couple examples. I actually have a younger cousin who'd watch Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, as well... Disney's really good at keeping their magic around for a long, long time.

Thank you! I kinda want to see Alice in Wonderland pretty soon, actually. Mainly because I didn't see the whole thing, and it's good to watch something new every now and then. I'll let you know what I think after I watch it, and I'm sure I'll like it. I did enjoy Cinderella, after all.

Yeah, there was a period where I switched between Sonic Boom and Smash, and I enjoyed Smash for Wii U. I think I mostly played the classic mode, the one with the big board where you can pick your battles. I also played with the amiibo stuff a lot, I ended up getting three Sonic amiibos, just because of the one save limit amiibos had.

Yeah, I think I use to have a subscription to Electronic Gaming Monthly in the early 2000's. When mom noticed I kept buying issues from the local supermarket, she decided to subscribe. The days when I used both Internet and magazines for gaming news. Now it's mostly Nintendo Life, and occasionally Blues News for PC gaming stuff. That's cool, here it was a part of DK64.

Yeah, it's like Smurfs was two different discs, it's a weird oddity that I'm happy to have. Cool, I got mine in January of 2008, I remember getting my Wii, though I did buy Sonic and the Secret Rings before getting my system.

Hopefully it will be a fun game, I've been itching for a Disney racing experience. It is a really cute show, after you watch Alice in Wonderland, I'm going to recommend the episode "Potato Potahto," I think it shows off what this series is like with a cool little nod to the movie. It is really cool Disney does that. I still remember my nephew watching Jake and the Neverland Pirates and being like "is that Smee?" Indeed, I remember Mickey Mouse Clubhouse impressed me, even though it's early learning stuff, it was cool to see Disney bring Mickey into 3D animation. Now I'm being reminded, I should really get around to playing Epic Mickey, I have that game.

You're welcome, hope you enjoy it. Remember, recommending you to watch the Alice's Wonderland Bakery episode "Potato Potahto" afterwards. Just has one of the best and most heartwarming nods to Alice in Wonderland IMHO.

@Tyranexx Alrighty, yeah it has a lot of references that many know, and the theme is very well known. I think I might have played a Killer Instinct game when I went to a relative's house, I think it was the N64 version.

That's how it is here. I do remember Walmart having a Fast and Furious game, but that was the only arcade game within the area years ago. Most arcade games I can get to is the Jersey shore boardwalk, which is quite the drive, like over an hour. I also remember one trip to the boardwalk had a retro arcade, and I got to try a Pole Position cabinet. Which is cool having played it on Dreamcast via Namco Museum.

@Sunsy Honestly, I didn't catch on that Hattie and his dad were Japanese until he uttered that phrase (the mochi from an earlier episode should've been my first clue).

Also I ship Alice and Hattie! 🤭
