@EllaTheKawaiiNeko That song always showed up in my recommendations, it sounded interesting and quite good although I do tend to prefer female vocals on songs.

@ComfyAko Listen to the new remix/remaster of The Beatles album Revolver, it sounds amazing and the album is my 3rd favorite of their works.

@TeaCatherine Sorry thought you asked me somethin

@Kermit1 Thanks, I will! The Beatles are great, I loved "Help!", "Penny Lane" and "Here comes the sun"

Finished Paper Mario: The Origami King yesterday evening. Decent game as long as you don't go in expecting a traditional RPG, but IMO the combat system holds it back from truly being great. It ticked all the right boxes for me outside of the combat gimmicks though.

@Sunsy I take advantage of freebies if they genuinely interest me and I think I'll play them. Shame I missed that D&D sale, probably would've liked it. DDLC was pretty fun, even though the dating sim aspects definitely didn't cater to my interests lol. Still, it was interesting getting to know all the ladies.

Unfortunately in terms of big box stores, Walmart is mostly what I'm stuck with. The closest Target or Best Buy is over an hour away. I have ordered from BB online a couple of times when they're running good deals though. I don't live in a very remote part of the country, but I'm rural enough that any special stores usually amount to a day trip away.

@MarioLover92 Glad you had a good birthday! And welcome to Club 31 lol. Was that the animated Beauty and the Beast? That one is still my fav, but I do like the live action version. Not surprised at all you did so well in Mario Kart. XD As for the Metroid Prime rumors, I think Nintendo has something up their sleeve. They're just biding their time until closer to MP4 I think.

I completely forgot about ride armor in Mega Man X, though that's the only title in the X series I've played. I did play the Kirby and the Forgotten Land demo and enjoyed it. My main thing is I'm trying to give some other platforms I own occasional love along with my Switch. On that note, I'm debating about picking up Kirby and the Amazing Mirror on the Wii U VC before the eShop closes.

@EaglyTheKawaiiShika That description is precisely why I'm not a fan of streaming and generally don't want to go down the subbing hole. Spotify is good enough for now, thanks. XD

Fully agree on everything regarding JH. They left out a couple of psychopathic tendencies, but they couldn't get TOO dark lol. JC was some great comic relief and did the original Pinocchio movie justice (haven't seen the remake). I gotta say I really liked the animation used in the combat scenes with Death as well. Funny thing is, he technically isn't evil; he's just doing his job. Well, minus the "I'm ending your last life early because you didn't appreciate the last eight" bit. Wasn't sure how I'd feel about Perrito at first, but he really grew on me.

@SlashFuture right now I'm mesmerized with "on melancholy hill" by Gorillaz, it reminds me of those songs, the kind that you hear randomly when YT recommends it to them and after the first couple of seconds you stop whatever you were doing and just immense yourself in the sound, completely disconnected from the world

@SlashFuture Never heard of it, but now you got my attention!

@ComfyAko Nah, I didn't ask you anything.
That said, what type of music is your jam?

@TeaCatherine Actually, I don't have any fixed genre I stick to. Maybe Classical Rock. I like Anime music, pop, rock, post rock, electro, disco, sometimes even hip-hop when Beastie Boys are involved. I dislike Jazz and Rap though. How about you?

@SlashFuture Interpol has some trippy songs, like "evil"

@ComfyAko Songs from anime and games, (some) classic rock and old pop songs.

@SlashFuture @ComfyAko If you’re looking for something trippy and good, then I would recommend Hawaii Part II by Miracle Musical. It definitely has those vibes, and actually tells a story. I won’t get into the details of it, it’s better to experience it for yourself.

Some other artists I would recommend are Tally Hall, Jack Stauber, Will Wood (and the Tapeworms), and Lemon Demon.

@SlashFuture The new remaster of Revolver uses some of the tech they used in the "Get Back" series which no nothing short of incredible. I want all The Beatles albums done with that tech now lol.

I meant to also @ Comfy, can you @ them for me?

@EaglyTheKawaiiShika I meant that Jump seems like the kind of person who'd insult GoW and GoWR they're probably too generic for such a cultured individual, also maybe MGSV for it's differences compared to the rest of the MGS games.
Also, I notice you're still spelling Nier Automata wrong.

@TeaCatherine I've argued with jump before... It's a fight you don't win.

@SlashFuture I haven't played the first two Paper Mario titles, so I don't have nostalgia to reference them with. I've played all the others barring Sticker Star. Overall, my favorite is definitely Super Paper Mario in terms of...almost everything. Gameplay, plot, aesthetics, everything. I liked Color Splash, but I took even more issues with its combat system than with TOK. Outside of some of the gimmicky boss fights and burning through items, I don't think I would've minded it as much. I was avoiding normal encounters when possible.

@EaglyTheKawaiiShika Eh, true. At least with streaming you don't have to deal with flipping through 5000 channels you don't want.

JH not being redeemable was indeed refreshing; I like how DreamWorks turned that trope on its head. Loved Goldilocks and the three bears and, ultimately her own character growth...even if it was predictable. I wasn't expecting them to have British accents. XD Agreed on Puss's character growth; pretty sure Death wouldn't have left him alone otherwise. Perrito was the perfect companion for sure. He definitely serves a similar Donkey role.

Sunsy

Very good day today, did some gaming this morning, and went to see Puss in Boots: The Last Wish. Movie was awesome, posted some thoughts in the movie thread, I loved how Poppy appeared in the DreamWorks intro. Here I thought I wasn't going to see her again on the big screen until Trolls 3, nope she high fived the DreamWorks logo. Even had some nachos, because AMC popcorn is usually stale.

Afterwards did a few errands as I needed to pick up a few things and ended up renewing my Switch Online membership so I don't have to worry about it later this year. With Trolls 3 coming out, I want to be able to treat myself to something Trolls related instead of worrying about renewing my Switch Online membership.

@Sunsy plus the visual and audio quality were improved l. Don’t get me wrong the exact resolution of a movie dosen’t matte but if you compare them side by side natively playing a disk is superior to streaming. The quality of the movie is improved

You don’t need to here this from me but have fun at PIB 2

Indeed.

Yes, I really enjoyed my time with it. Such a great time even though my friend and I were like the only ones in the theater due to being a middle of a work day week. Loved the movie, and Perrito won me over.

Honestly, that actually made me curious about D&D, I've enjoyed my time with Eye of the Beholder, as well as Neverwinter Nights. Didn't get far in the latter, but I like it. Indeed, and getting that best ending. It actually sparked my interest in visual novels in general and played more since. I've gotten the Higurashi series, I also played the Parascientific Escape games on 3DS, and I did get Tokyo School Life on Switch to try a proper "dating sim." Which in turn ended up having three great routes for each girl.

Oh yeah, you did say you lived in a rural area. Yeah, Walmart I haven't really been to in over a year. I end up going to Target more, and Five Below once in awhile. I also like going to Barnes and Noble, I like looking at character themed books there and shopping for them too. Otherwise it's sometimes the local supermarket or dollar store, even then I end up looking for stuff I like to make the task more fun, lol.

The resident Trolls superfan! Saw Trolls Band Together via early access and absolutely loved it!
