Last night I couldn't sleep so I hopped on my Chromebook to play some Skribbl.io (I last played it 2 years ago)

Well... auto drawers are a thing.... I've now seen Atari graphic ^things

Then after having a laugh and being "traumatised by Atari" I went and watched some videos on Crash Bandicoot... Today I went to the shops and got a Crash Bandicoot figure... I think watching stuff at 4 am has an effect on what I buy (duh)....

Yeah, just the talk about streaming exclusives is something that makes me wish shows and movies were on DVD. Right now, I just have Luca and Trolls: The Beat Goes On (a Netflix exclusive show) on DVD. Yes, I do like DVDs and Blu-Rays. Have a lot of animated movies, cartoons, and some anime on DVD.

@Tyranexx Yeah. I don't develop software, but I do remember having to compile an open source game from source. Cool, I sometimes use GIMP for things. I often used it to resize pictures like the icons I use here. I use Paint too much for simply screenshots and that sort of thing.

@Anti-Matter I thought of you tonight. Because of the 3DS eShop shutting down, I grabbed Hello Kitty Magic Apron wanting to try a Hello Kitty game and it was cheap (curiosity got the better of me). It's a cooking game with rhythm, it's a cute theme, and then I thought to myself... "this is something Anti-Matter would play."

Dunno if the game is available physically, but it seems like something you would like. Yeah, you came to mind when I wanted to play a simple game this evening.

The physical version of Hello Kitty Magic Apron only available in Japan and PAL version.

Since I already have New 3DS XL PAL version, I can always buy that game anytime from either play-asia or Ebay, will get the PAL version.

@Anti-Matter Awesome! If you ever get it, enjoy it, it reminded me of something you would like to play. Amusingly, this happens to be the first time I bought a cooking related game. Honestly, had fun playing it this evening.

I bought Crash Bandicoot N'sane Trilogy, I've started to play it and wow Crash 1 is super fun.

I've finally gotten to Okami and I love it!

I beat Ace Attorney 1, episode 5 took forever to beat.

Anyways, I've recently been playing more of The Last Blade's killer NGPC spinoff, and the scrolls are so expensive. I recommend going into the survival mode and just not doing the challenges so you can get mo money.

So, I will get XBOX 360 very soon and will playing some Kinect games. I have never played Kinect games before but it looks like Eye Toy HD games from the the way of playing.
What is your experiences from playing Kinect games if you have ever owning XBOX 360 ?
Maybe from pausing the games, set up the space before playing, some hilarious moment from playing Kinect games, the tricks that you can cheat from playing Kinect games.
I know it was very late to play Kinect games on this year 2022, 12 years after 2010, but never too late to play some "retro" games.

@Fizza using your tips and others, I managed to get to the boss (The Concierge) and beat him, then progress a little further! That automatic crossbow turret is OP.

@Snatcher Microsoft said day 1 of announcing backwards compatibility for XB1 back in 2015 that no Kinect games would be added (360 Kinect works differently to XB1 Kinect). There appears to be a similar situation with PSVR, namely that as far as we can tell PSVR games don't work with PSVR2.

Does anyone know what time you can add funds on the 3DS eShop until? I know that function goes away today but is until 11:59PM in some time zone or what? I can just find a date…

You have a Switch as well, @BabyYoda71 .... I thought it shared funds with Wii U & 3DS? I'd assume it's until midnight local time but I'm not sure why you'd wait now

@BruceCM Yeah it doesn’t matter at all but I need to start at some point so I’m sort of using this as motivation lol. If it is shut down I’ll just add funds with my Switch, it’ll just take a few minutes longer.

@BruceCM I had the option to get a landline with my current ISP but declined; I have fairly decent reception where I currently live, plus it's just me. So kinda useless. Conversely, my parents need one since they live in the middle of the woods, so cell reception is fleeting. That's really the only reason why I still have Facebook, so that I can contact my mom through Messenger lol. And that's only if their internet even cooperates.

@Tasuki I hope your D&D session went well! My group finally met yesterday after a long hiatus. I went into some detail in the Tabletop Gaming thread.

@MarioLover92 Torna: The Golden Country is also a very good standalone game. It's hard to go wrong with either it or XC2 if someone has to pick between them. But if they're grabbing both, I definitely recommend playing XC2 first.

I like keeping a lookout for less common animals when I'm out on the trails. Squirrels, chipmunks, and many regular birds are a dime a dozen, but the fun ones for me are deer, stray pets (not common, but I've come across a couple of friendly ones), lizards, and snakes.

@cordova94 Seems as though I missed your update about the derecho. Those are unfortunately not too uncommon where I live (lower US Midwest) and can be nasty indeed. I hope everyone is well.

@Sunsy Back in the day, I used MS Paint for almost everything since everything else I knew of had to be paid for. I wish I'd known GIMP existed then. I was introduced to it by someone at my previous job. I just use the snipping tool + ye olde Google search for a lot of my avatars here, but I will rarely alter them slightly in...Paint. XD

@BabyYoda71 Only credit card payments are turning off on the US 3DS/Wii U eShops today at some point...not sure when. If you link your Switch account to the others, however, you should still be able to use funds that way. I prefer to use eShop cards anyway, so for now I'm safe.

I have been sick with covid for a day now ( think) this is day 2, and I feel great so far, my body hurts a bit, and my throat is sore, and I'm sleepy as all get out but its getting much better.

Thank god I got the full vaccine, i'm pretty sure its the only reason I'm feeling ok right now.
