@Tyranexx Oh that's cool, I can see why. I did play a little bit of the first Star Force game, but I personally didn't care for it that much. So I never got around to playing its sequels. I liked the Battle Network games more.

Call me retro if you want, but I've always liked the platformers the best. So I liked the classic Mega Man series quite a bit. I like the Mega Man X series too - X1, X2, and X4 are a couple of my favorite MM games, by the way - but some of the X series games are...pretty rough. Especially MMX6 and X7. It's been a while since I played X8, admittedly - I remember liking it quite a bit. I played through both the Mega Man Zero and ZX series via the legacy collection that came out earlier this year too - those were a good time, especially the Zero series.

Favorite game: Super Mario 3D World

I think it's funny and ironic that my mind right now is worrying to get Sly Cooper Trilogy / Collection PS3 than worrying about Super Mario 3D All Stars. 😅
I still like 3D Mario games but i found Sly Cooper PS3 suddenly stole my attention after long time i have never reacted to Sly Cooper games. I wanna play them in hurry but i still have to wait until i get XBOX 360 machine and the games on this December.

Also, Chicken Little games on PS2 (also with Ace in Action) stole my attention too for the same case, have never cared about those games before but suddenly i have interest about them after i watched the gameplay from Youtube.

HotGoomba

@Anti-Matter Lol I'm more worrying getting Ratchet and Clank Collection than the PS5.

And the Chicken Little game can't be as bad as the movie. Right?

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAy there.

@HotGoomba___Rebrand
Chicken Little games on PS2 was quite good in 3D platformer, but the Ace in Action was much like Ratchet & Clank (minus set of different weapons).
The movie was meh but the games was okay for me (at least decent 3D platformer / action adventures)

Oh, btw. I have Ratchet & Clank Trilogy PS3 since May 2020. 😛
And even better, i found another copy of Ratchet & Clank Trilogy PS3 from Tokopedia with quite cheap price (around $33).
Yesterday, i found someone put Jak & Daxter Collection PS3 USA version on Tokopedia with price Rp 500,000 or around $33.

WooHoo...!!! 😄😄😄
I got Sly Cooper Collection PS3 from my local game shop just now. One of extremely rare PS3 game that i successfully purchased.

Well... The color of front cover was pretty washed away as the game box has been shined by display lamps for several years in the game shop display as you can compare with colorful manual book. 😅
I oftenly saw that game being displayed on my local game shop and still nobody want to buy that game since i saw it from year 2014.
I was looking that game from Tokopedia but i found nothing.
Then yesterday i remembered if i have ever seen that game on my local game shop.
I contacted with the game shop owner today and he said the game was still exist on his game shop.
I didn't want to miss the chance so i immediately order that game and the game has been delivered to my house right after i finished take a bath.

First impression for Sly Cooper 1, the game was similar like 3D Mario in term of multiple Sly character. Sly was very weak, 1 hit from enemy will knock him down and it will deplete 1 Sly character.
Gosh... Very strict. 😬
Old 3D platformer games was very strict in precision and timing. 😣

Okay, i'm playing Sly 2 PS3 version right now.

Does anyone else here just watch The Game Awards for the announcements and trailers? I honestly care little about who wins what award. Outside of the Monster Hunter Rise trailer, Sephiroth reveal (THAT was well done), and that Scarlet Nexus game (which appears to be Xbox only), nothing really interested me much. The Ghost 'N Goblins remaster did register, but I had so little fun with the SNES game that I'll likely give that one a pass.

@Heavyarms55 Hey, at least there's still some type variety in there! A few defensive holes to be sure, but it seems like a manageable team.

One of the silver linings of this whole pandemic situation is that, in a sense, I have more time to game than usual. But conversely, since I'm working from home, I'm also more apt to shove in a few more minutes of it, then realize it's half an hour after quitting time....Like yesterday.

@Eel No shiny Wooper unfortunately. I honestly forgot about the event for the most part, and I didn't really get out until this evening. I did catch a couple last night during the TGAs; one was at the single spawn point near my home, and the other was via a Team Rocket balloon encounter. Shadow Wooper is adorably evil. =3

@MarioLover92 The first Star Force games (No idea why they released THREE versions) were arguably the easiest and weakest in my opinion. SF3: Black Ace and Red Joker were the best of the bunch in terms of gameplay, in my humble opinion. I won't spoil much, but I liked how those games implemented the concept of digital noise. Overall I like what they tried to do with the 3D combat system on the DS, but I still think the battle grid used in BN offered more strategy and mobility.

I certainly enjoy some platformers, like a certain plumber's exploits and his tie-wearing hairy rival. However, I just couldn't get into the original Mega Man and MMX series. I've played both Mega Man 2 and Dr. Wily's Revenge (first MM GB game) via the VC and Mega Man X on the SNES Classic. I certainly recognize that the Mega Man platformers are decent, but some of the platforming hazards and enemy placements feel VERY cheap to me. Enough so that I've found the games way more frustrating than fun. I think I tried one of the Zero games at a family gathering one time - the game belonged to a cousin - but I don't recall much about it.

I'm certainly not against trying out other games in the series, including the platformers. At this point, I think I'd most like to try the Mega Man Legends series if that ever sees a revival or is ported to modern consoles. If I recall, there was a Legends 3 planned for the 3DS before it was canceled....

Currently playing: Pokemon Scarlet DLC, Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury (Switch)

@Tyranexx Yeah. If I didn't have the task of watching my cousin's kid during school hours, my sleep schedule would be totally shredded at this point. However watching the kid means I need to wake up and sleep at reasonably normal times. So as soon as this pandemic gets under control enough that I can mostly stop worrying about brining home a virus that's going to kill my mother, aunt and uncle (all of whom have compromised immune systems and live in the same house with me currently) then I'll have little issue adjusting to a normal work schedule again. Hopefully by the end of January, maybe? I hope? At least money isn't an issue for the time being. A lot of folks are far worse off than I am.

Back on the much brighter Pokemon topic, I caught a shiny Wooper today with good IVs and a shiny Eevee that has pretty much the worst IVs it could have. But double shinys in one day is quite nice. And tomorrow I'll be hunting for shiny Piplup and Rhyhorn.

Mine has meh stats, but it's cute in pink.

Also, did you guys notice the event, for some reason, included the ability to change the charged attack of shadow Pokemon?

I'm glad I never purified my mewtwo, because that will look cool in battle now that it has an actually useful attack. (Gave it psystrike)

@Tyranexx
I don't even care with TGA in the slightest.
The winner is always rated 18+ games, it always pissed me off. 😤
Don't even care in the slightest with Smash Bros nor even the new character revealed.
Just SMH for that game.
I keep stay away from those hubbub and keep digging with my hidden gems.
Yesterday i bought Sly Cooper Collection PS3. 😁

@Anti-Matter How dare you disrespect Smash Bros AND Final Fantasy VII

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAy there.

Anti-Matter

@NintendoByNature
I just feel apathetic for every TGA events because i knew rated 18+ games will be always chosen as the winner and i'm sick to hear that.

@HotGoomba___Rebrand
Smash Bros gameplay itself not even interesting for me in the slightest even without rated 18+ characters.
Added with Cloud, Sephiroth, whoever they are it will never impressed me in the slightest. My impression meter is stays on 0%.
For FF VII itself, i'm done with that franchise even i don't want to play FF VII from my Twin Pack with FF VIII.
I only play FF VIII but not FF VII.
Too overrated, too oversaturated.
Forget everything about FF VII.
Don't even care anymore with Cloud, Sepiroth, whoever they are.
Sorry, i ride on different hype train.
