@NEStalgia No, biology; but it's close enough to (organic) chemistry that it can be considered the same at times. With a small margin of error of course

@Nemodius oh, i know. Im just giving the benefit of doubt that half of them and business are legit...or at least shady ones have legit research half the time

@Octane oohhh... One of those... . If you're tied to medical/pharma/or agra-engineering, i may have to second guess your video game opinions forever more. If not, youre ok.

@NEStalgia
oh ya, the research me and my team and students are doing is very legit, but it's the "Why" that made me so curious from the beginning in what the higher ups are up to at my school

why, after all these years is the school so urgently interested in researching how to defeat the effects of free electron accumulation and micro particle erosion on man-made devices and materials traveling over
149,896,229 m/s ??? and I am talking they want results in lest than 12 years......I've been on this project for three now
they want bad, but refuse to say why
curious, am I being paranoid ??? maybe, but this type of research would normally have lots of time to play with, a borderline officially authorized "hobby research project" with an undefined time limit
you don't authorize $50,000/year budget and break out a black whip on a staff of 31 to concentrate on this one thing unless there is more to it, I have my obvious suspicions, but because I am an uber sci-fi buff, especially Star Wars AND Star Trek and Doctor Who, maybe I'm a little bias on my hopes, but still, they have an "agenda" and they are keeping a little TOO tight lipped about it if you ask me

Well, I wouldn't say he's already succeeded. Based on my intel, he's not gotten any to have heads or feet yet. They just look like leathery, stubby potatoes.

@Nemodius i wonder who is providing them funding. "Non profit" still has backing from outside. Anonymously or otherwise. If it were good intentions i would imagine it would publically use taxpayer money. Or launder it through bezos or musk The secrecy make me presume classified. Or corporate dirty work. Either way, the kind of thing the less you know the healthier you stay...

@HobbitGamer I'm pretty sure he's succeeded. Most of his output posts in the comment threads, I'm certain.

@NEStalgia
well, I'm not supposed to go into detail, the very little I did say won't affect me, but I still wonder, trying to defeat such effects in a non-atmosphere environment (space) at such high speeds is meant for long hauls, so it would be pointless for weapon research, me and the guys have been theorizing why they want this so bad for some time
what the problem is why so friggin quickly ??? what do they need protection from energy and particulate damage so damn rushed for, I understand for "furture reference and possibilities", but why now, why no later than 2027 ???

personally we think Mr. Government is up to something and contracted several research facilities for various projects, and I think it has little to do with terraforming Mars, but a friend from M.I.T. say they are doing big reasearch on scaling up atmospheric scrubbers, like football stadium size, not school bus size

It's just me and a senior IT staffer in our building this morning. We just spent the better part of an hour talking about Warframe, where he explained all the different things. Now I'm more excited to play it on the 20th. And I see that I have 13 emails...

Yeah, the Fortuna update just hit PC. I play it on PS4, but I'm guessing it'll get it around the same time as the Switch version. It's certainly promising to be the biggest and possibly most refreshing content drop the game's had, but I'm most interested to hear how new players react to it...Warframe itself is a strange beast, and Venus is pretty early into the game, not to mention you could theoretically go to Earth before that even, where you can get your butt kicked by content you're guaranteed to not be even remotely prepared for...the beginning quests and overall structure have been long overdue for an overhaul.

Since we will be visiting Arizona again for Christmas, I went and bought some Crazy Aaron's putty.

Even though it's considerably cheaper to order to the US, it was still rather expensive... But I always wanted one of those tins.

I bought a pack that comes with three little golden putties and one called dinosaur poop.

@ReaderRagfish can’t say for certain (for context considering it’s a few pages back, you were asking about gender when introducing furries!), never read anything that says it’s a definite except when introducing un-neutered males.

From experience (not that i get new cats every week so not like i have years and years of it!) I reckon there may well be some truth to it. Example case - we introduced a new rescue-female earlier this year; the male kicked up a huge fuss for a day & then gave 0 cares. The two existing females gave her a hiss-y welcome for the next 3 months however and even now, 8 months later they’re hardly besties?

As a slight aside, I did read something by a cat behaviour expert that said Cats in Australia are naturally more aggressive than similar breeds elsewhere in the world - obviously she couldn’t explain exactly why, but theorised that it’s to do with the number of additional predators they’ve faced since being (stupidly) introduced over here.

There’s quite a lot of people against cats in Australia due to the devastation they’ve caused to local wildlife - even the RSPCA has supported their culling in recent times - which is pretty horrific. I understand the anger at the trouble they’ve wrought but it was man’s interference (yet again) that caused the problem originally and killing animals (any animals) en masse is a solution to a problem that I will just never be able to get my head around.

Ahem. Sorry, went off on one then - don’t normally talk about anything so ‘political’ away from games so please forgive me. Appreciate other people may have strong views on this too but suspect it’s better left unsaid for the most part as it can evoke some powerful responses!

@Yosheel it’s not the mind it leaves but the mind it enters that’s to blame... You stay away from anything even remotely furry!

Oh, I guess I'll go through a number of these before I start the day. They're short, anyways. This shouldn't take long.

I decided to fire up Pokémon Go so I have more things to put in the Let’s Go Park thing. I caught a whole bunch just putting gas in the truck and at the wash. When I played it more months ago, I suffered from the ‘only keep one’ mantra. Now I may miss the days of pidgey and rattata infestations. No. I won’t.
And apparently there’s a cyndaquil nest two houses down from me.

I went bowling for the first time in years, and my local alley doesn't have the Dance Dance Revolution or Simpsons arcade machines anymore. Instead, there's some Die Hard game and a weird Sega Safari game.

Oh well, at least they still have Rush 2049.

Unfortunately, most machines like that are slowly going extinct around here. The things you usually find these days are those lousy crane machines. There's a small arcade corner in the dying mall near where I live, but the majority of those are racing; I shouldn't complain as Hydro Thunder is one of those. XD There's an on-rails shooter called Let's Go Jungle that seems a bit meh.

Well...I tried to start a file with Golden Sun: The Lost Age on my Wii U earlier, but almost two hours later I STILL wasn't able to transfer everything over via the gold password. I checked multiple times and even took pictures on my phone of the full code from Golden Sun. I really don't know what I have wrong at this point....I might just cave and use the silver password instead if my attempts later on don't work.

Man do I wish that Nintendo had implemented same-system link cable functionality between related VC games.... /endrant

@ReaderRagfish: The pinball machines are becoming less common too, unfortunately. And it's been a long while since I've seen any fighting games like Tekken or Street Fighter....

Also, I FINALLY got it to accept the password! I fixed most of the errors earlier today already, but there was something slightly off towards the bottom of page 4. Ironically I had it written down correctly on paper...Must have been a visual error when I re-keyed everything at one point.

@ReaderRagfish: Cool! I've never been snowboarding...or skiing. XD I've been sledding, but that's not hard to pull off. There's an artificial ski resort within a few hours of here, but I'd be traveling for quite a while before I made it to any mountains.
