The GameCube one is odd. It's pretty clunky, menus are slow, you can't do some things that are normal in the other games, and you can see that it's actually an N64 game in a disc from a mile away.
Just play and do stuff every now and then. It's not a race.
You don't need to complete the museum. You don't need to pay to Tom Nook right now. You don't have a deadline to complete your catalogue. You don't need to visit K.K. every Saturday for the rest of your life, or wake up early on Sundays to buy turnips.
Things will happen eventually. No need to force them if you don't want to.
Well if what you want is easy money all the games have the turnips.
And New Leaf has the island. There you can get millions just hunting for beetles.
However what I was trying to say is... If you view the game as just a grind, then of course you won't enjoy it.
I mostly just let money accumulate from playing normally. It's slower than going for optimal quick results, but at least I can drop it and pick it back up at any time.

"And New Leaf has the island. There you can get millions just hunting for beetles."
If you have 2 3DS machine, 2 copies of ACNL, A lot of Perfect Fruit trees, a Lazy camper, you can make money quickly.
1,000,000 Bells will be No Sweat.
You just need to sell the Perfect fruits from other town to Lazy campers for extra money.
A Stack of 9 Perfect fruits from Other Town can be sold for more than 110,000 Bells !
@Yosheel
Just for comparison.
A Golden Stag sold normally 15,000 Bells , sold more than 55,000 Bells from Lazy camper.
A stack of 9 Perfect fruits from other town normally 27,000 Bells (3,000 Bells each), sold more than 110,000 Bells from Lazy camper.
To get a Golden Stag is very rare and Damn hard.
But to get 90 Perfect Fruits (30 Perfect Fruit trees) from other town, is an Easy Peasy job to do.
Look I don’t doubt it’s a good method, it just requires way too much set up and is too situational to be viable as a regular source of bells. It’s more of a nice bonus every now and then.
To get money in the island:
Wait for night, any day is fine.
Pay 1000 bells to go to the island
Catch any beetle or fish you find worth more than 3k. Give preference to Golden beetles, Hercules beetles, and sharks.
Fill the basket.
Go back to mainland.
Sell them all.
Rinse and repeat as many times as you want and have patience for.
To make money with your method:
Get a perfect fruit to start an orchard.
Wait four days for that tree to give fruit.
Plant those fruits for more trees.
If the tree dies plant it again.
Get rid of the rotten fruit.
Repeat plating new trees every three days until you have enough.
Buy a second 3DS and another copy of Animal Crossing.
Build the camping ground in that file.
Wait for a lazy villager to visit the camping ground.
Initiate a local multiplayer session.
Sell your fruit.
Replant all the dead trees and start your orchard again while you wait for another lazy visitor.
@Yosheel
I have 2 3DS Machine, so i can speed up the day for the town that has 30 Perfect fruit trees to respawn the fruits by Time Travelling, but for the town which have a Lazy camper, KEEP the date SAME.
That's my method to keep Lazy camper stay at campsite FOREVER (If i want to stay at same date as long as i want) while the other town keep regenerate the Perfect fruit trees. If the Perfect trees died, just replant them again, Time travelling and get the ripe fruits to be harvested.
Easy if you spend more real world money on a second system+game and don’t mind cheating.
To be honest if you’re gonna be navigating menus and opening/closing the game over and over to keep changing dates, you might as well just do something else. That doesn’t sound fun at all.

Well, that's my Ritual every morning and afternoon for ACNL If.... i haven't said NO to any villagers who want to Move Out.
If i had said to stay in my town, i can Save it directly and LEAVE Completely the game to be stay in Dormant.
@HobbitGamer Internal organ pain shouldn't interrupt your sleep cycle unless you're having a period or did something really rough to your stomach before bed-too much liquor or too many spicy things. Though if you're no longer in pain/don't experience pain on multiple nights you might be okay. If you're still in distress you should ask your doctor about it.
Ah this reminds me of the time I got my appendix removed.
While I was waiting for surgery, it got to a point where the pain was making me vomit constantly, except there was nothing else in my stomach, and while it actually eased the pain considerably, it was just for a short little while.
So it was just a constant cycle of excruciating pain and the horrible feeling of involuntarily vomiting with nothing coming out.
@Yosheel Fortunately they're looking into (other) treatments of appendicitis. The organ is more useful than people give it credit for, and it's only been since recently that we've been learning more about it.
