I need to tell you guys what happened to me at lunch today. Alright, after hitting up the Golden Corral buffet we decided to go to the Pizza Hut buffet. I was going for the all meat pizza, because that's how I roll (literally). Then this bald guy came up and took ALL the good pizza. I had to settle for veggie pizza and cheese pizza and salad. SALAD! Big guys like me can't survive on salad! I don't know how I made it through the rest of the day. We went to the Chinese buffet after that but still... I'm so happy I survived this ordeal.
These pretzels are making me thirsty

For starters, pizzas often include tomato in a way or another. That's a fruit. A berry to be exact.
That pizza with olives, tomato and peppers? That might as well be a fuit salad. Hm wait, fruit salad au gratin with pomodoro sauce, we may be getting somehwere here...
Botanically speaking tomatoes are fruit, but in most countries tomatoes are officially ruled as vegetables. I call it a vegetable simply because it doesn't go with dessert but each their own I guess Same for peppers (and I rather not have olives on my pizza, bleh)
I'm certain it has to do with umami or something like that, tomatoes taste umami, they don't belong in desserts
Botanically speaking, tomatoes are fruits, but in cuisine they're vegetables. Too bad English doesn't distinguish between botanical fruits and the common usage of fruits...
