@Joeynator3000: Cakes for cats do exist. I've come across a recipe for a tuna cat cake before. (And my family has found that some WILL eat normal cake... )
So, since my gamepad can only hold a charge for about three minutes, my charging cable was in a terrible state. It was about to tear apart from being always connected directly to the pad.
So I bought a new cable to replace it... USB, a bit thicker...
And well it works quite perfectly... But something odd I've noticed is... The gamepad seems to be working... Better?
Like, now I can unplug it and play only on its battery for at the very least about an hour. The screen flickers less, and the battery led isn't crazy anymore.

And yes, he is (usually) always right, and he is (almost) the sexiest gamer out there (not counting me) ;)
So I randomly decide to restart my Pokémon Soul Silver and try going for an adamant totodile...
After about 10 resets I got a shiny!
I had no idea you could see if they're shinies before picking one... Oh boy I wonder I've ever missed out on a shiny starter for not checking them all.
I guess a docile nature is good too. This is my first shiny starter ever.

That's something that depends on the game you're playing. I think the newer games show shinies before picking while older don't. Unless they've gone back to not showing them at some point. I got a shiny Charmander in FireRed once and it didn't show it as a shiny before picking it up.
