@Meowpheel I remember reading about it when HG/SS came out. I took a quick look and didn't find any mentions for other games either. I guess I just assumed that they continued doing it with later games. I've previewed all the starters every time I've started a new game just in case even before HG/SS.

...Wow, being able to see if starters are shiny before picking them never occurred to me either. I'm not desperate enough to restart my SS file or any Pokemon games after the fact to find out, though. I've found it temperamental enough to keep resetting for a female starter of my choice. XD
Thanks! Also, YEEah, it's from the show, an actual animation cel used very briefly in Karate Choppers. I might've watched the episode to find where Fred Rechid was.
Only the first season of SpongeBob used hand drawn animation cels, season 2 onwards went digital, so because of DAT, famous mem-I mean moments such as "CHOOOOCOLLLLAAATTTTEEEEE!!!" or "MOAR!" or even "WHO YA CALLIN' PINHEAD?!?" don't have animation cels. SpongeBob and other main or minor characters' animation cels can be found much easier compared to background characters such as Fred Rechid.
It's sorta been a dream come TROOF with THESE, now hopefully I can someday get a certain animation cel of Fred Rechid from "Arrgh".

...Erm, okay, not in the usual sense. I DID replace the battery in my old 3DS, though. That felt like open heart surgery as I was afraid I would screw something up. So far I've entered in the system date/time and played a VC game for a few minutes just to test out the new battery. The system is now charging, and I plan to put it through its paces this evening.
I got to see a cat pant for the very first time...took Sanya to the vet for a checkup. On our way back she decided to put her face in front of the air vent in the car, she's a goof. -w-
