I probably had my weirdest dream in awhile last night (at least that I can remember). For some reason there was an abandoned theme park in the woods not far from my parents' house (the closest theme park of any kind IRL is two hours away), and I was exploring it with some random guy who was supposedly a friend of mine. We were checking out the derelict station house for a wooden roller coaster, and got onto the subject of why the park had been abandoned.
Apparently there was an invasion of rabid parrots in the 1980's that not only harassed patrons, but their pink droppings were toxic as well (you could see the stains of them in the station house). There was mass hysteria, people stopped coming to the park, etc. etc. Now it was just a derelict ruin ignored by everyone except dare-takers and curious people.
I'm not really sure where this one came from. I do like learning about theme parks and find structural decay an interesting subject, but I still have no clue where the parrots came from. O.o
