This is to talk about the late night talk show host comedian Conan O'Brien. Talk about the fond memories you have of him on NBC or chat about the jokes he may have told that recently made you laugh on TBS. I've been watching his new show on TBS. Really funny me,my family, and my friends all love it. What do you think about Conan?
I love Conan I have his shows set to record. IMO I enjoy his show alot better than Jay Lenos. I think he was wronged by NBC but I am glad that they did fire so he was able to get the deal with TBS. Andy Richter and him have the same kind of chemistry that Johnny Carson and Ed McMahon had.
I usually TIVO them cause I like to watch the shows once twice sometimes even thrice

I think Conan was screwed by NBC as well. Ever since Andy left him many moons ago, he hasn't appeared as funny to me for some reason. Those "In the Year 2000" skits were my fav!!!
"So, it looks like I'm going up against one of the most powerful people in the world... Opera Winfrey-(crowd starts 'boo'-ing) NO! NO!! Stop! She'll have me killed!" Conan is one of the greatest people alive.
"I'm a heartbreaker...
My name... Charles." -The Greatest Man In Driftveil City
Conan is one of the funniest people on the planet. His new show isn't the revolution it could have (should have?) been, but it's consistently funny and enjoyable. My favorite bit this week was where he came up with an emergency alert system that depicts the level of severity with clips of bad Nicolas Cage movies

Conan is awesome. I've been a big fan of his since before i even knew i was a fan of his, as it was only after his late night show started that i learned "oh he's that guy who wrote or was involved with some of my fave SNL bits, and most awesome Simpsons episodes ever!"
My friend's aunt used to work on Letterman's old NBC show, and then later on Conan's, so i had the privilege of going to tapings of his show a couple times (this was probably in his 2nd or 3rd season doing the show), as well as meeting him very briefly when my friend's aunt showed us around the NBC studios backstage areas.
A couple of my favorite bits of his (amongst kabillions) are when he would show the random "Walker, Texas Ranger" clips, and how anytime he had a Schwartzenegger-bit, there would be a mention of "Jingle All the Way".
Lol I remember seeing his name on reruns of the old Simpson episodes like the Monorail one and at first I was wondering if its the same guy or just someone with the same name lol. I dont know about you guys but the Season after Conan left the Simpsons seems to be when they started to go down hill. Coincidence??
I too love his Schwarzenegger bit its one of my favorites.

@Kid_A Lol I saw that! "Let's hope that it never gets to level 5- The Wicker Man" But honestly, I prefer Jay Leno. I don't know why, but I've never been too interested in Conan.

I remember Conan said he tried to get some guy (I can't remember his name right now) to do a voice in that episode and the guy said "No,I take my monorails very seriously." I was laughing so hard.
Lots to say, gonna make a list for easier consumption.
Seriously though, Conan is a comedic genius. 1) I used to watch Late Night every night before I went to bed prior to leaving for college. During college, I stopped watching TV. 2) I was happy when Conan got the Tonight Show. Leno's Tonight Show was stagnant. 3) I liked the convenience of being able to watch it on Hulu any time I wanted. I watched every Conan Tonight Show as they were being put up. Because I was watching it on Hulu, there wasn't that awful lead up. 4) It was really bogus when Conan got ousted. I'm sure it caused a massive loss of viewers and it made me stop watching late shows altogether. 5) I was happy when I heard Conan was getting his own show. The forced hiatus he had from TV really killed his momentum though. 6) I watched the first few shows of Conan, but haven't watched since. The hiatus really changed my viewing habits and I just don't watch any shows on TV anymore.
What is the meaning of life? That's so easy, the answer is TETRIS.

Originally Conan wanted to get George Takei as a guest on it instead of Leonard Nimoy. However at the time George Takei was a board member of Southern California Rapid Transit District and he thought that the episode made fun of public transportation. So in the end they went with Leonard Nimoy

Np. I just remember Conan saying that it was either on the Simpsons DVD or if it was when Willian Shattner was a guest on the Tonight SHow when he hosted it or it could have been both, I do remember that when he did tell that story he did a very funny impression of George Takei.
And yeah as I said I have been a fan of Conan for years I liked watching Jay Leno leading into Conan's show but after what NBC did to Conan I refuse to watch the Tonight Show.
I find it kinda funny though that both hosts of the Late Show both David Letterman and Conan both got jerked around by NBC involving the Tonight Show. I hope for Jimmy Fallon's sake they never offer him the Tonight Show lol.
Too bad they don't broadcast those American late night shows like Conan over here. Judging from clips I've seen they're all pretty funny.
I am not sure what country you are in Rensch but about a month ago the held a rally in Finland to get Conan's show broadcasted out there. Not sure if it worked or what. I kinda hope it did if for anything for all those fans that showed their support by showing up to the rally.

Conan is my favorite talk show on nowadays. I always laugh the hardest when Conan stops going by the script and just does random stuff. Like the skydiving/thrice sketch a week ago. I love how he just openly insults his own show.

Anyone see yesterday's episode? I loved it. What a great entrance Conan had. "It's like Lady Gaga without the calories." William Shatner signing some lines from Umbrella was pretty funny too. XD
