Topic: system war ps2 vs gamecube

This is a rather hard choice.

The The virtual console and PS classics are equal but the but PS3 wins on the out on the rest. Backwards-compatibility is a tie since both stopped doing it, PS3 plays PS1 games but those can be harder to find reasonably and newer models need add-ons for memory cards which is a big draw back if you have lived game files.

Both had great games but I found myself only playing my wii every now and then opposed to my PS3 which I enjoyed much more consistently and not just for games either. So my vote goes to PS3.

Wii FTW! Sony has been copying Nintendo forever and the Xbox copying Sony so Nintendo wins with it's originality! Yeah BlazBlue and Final Fantasy are cool but Loz and Pikmin, pokemon, Kirby and 1000s of other titles that are only for Wii and what not are my kind of games. Like the motion control of the Wiimote was cool and new then that colour ball on the playstaions move controller is akward looking and just plain crap but then microsoft had to top it of with the Kinect: the motion controls without an controller its a bit fun but tiring. Just dance 4 for the WiiU using the gamepad camera may seen similar but is very unique like come on! Sony may have those "big Boy" games like COD and whatever but thats coming to the WiiU to get some core gamers into Nintendo and you can play Black Ops 2 with the WiiU Pro controller which is similar to an Xbox 360 controller so it feels natural to Microsoft Fanboys. No its not a rip off and hey microsoft did it 2 Nintendo so its like returning the favor which nintendo should have done before microsoft got in the motion contol war in the first place! the only issue I have with Nintendo is that they arent bring mother and Mother 3 to North america!!!!! I love earthBound!

Oh and my vote is for Wii but Nintendo in general.

Two totally different consoles. I don't know why we should say which is better when they have very few things in common.

I think the Wii has better 1st party games, but the PS3 has better 3rd party support. I still love both my systems.

I couldn't pick either one. Wii can play all the awesome Nintendo games, plus older titles through virtual console and PS3 has all my action games.

C'mon. This is Nintendolife. Clearly the PS3 is better. I hesitated in picking one over the other, but the PS3 is better in the end.

I get that you're trying to be satirical and ironic through your post, but there are much better ways of getting your point across whilst being more succint, subtle, and in general humorous.

PS3 is such a lame middle of the road console. They have yet to successfully copy Nintendo's superior first party software or capture the Wii's casual audience, no matter how hard they keep trying to, and when it comes to third party support or online gaming they can't keep up with the Xbox 360. Playstation doesn't excel in any area. Gotta vote Wii.

It did have Infamous 2 & Uncharted 3. That counts for something. Plus, tech spec wise, it kicked the Wii's a**. Put it against the Wii U on the other hand, and it doesn't stand a chance.

The truth

Wii but only because I own most of the PS3 games I would want on 360 anyway (now Ps1/2 games, that's another story).

I much preferred playing the Atelier Rorona Trilogy, Hyperdimension Neptunia, Dark Souls, Demon's Souls, White Knight Chronicles, Dragon's Dogma, Skyrim, Dragon Age: Origins, Tales of Graces f, Final Fantasy XIII, Final Fantasy XIII-2, Legasista, Rainbow Moon, Borderlands, Borderlands 2, Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning, Star Ocean The Last Hope, and Oblivion on my Wii.

... oh, wait.

(and yes I am aware the Wii has like three worthwhile RPGs. Doesn't replace that lot above, not even close).
