This is a topic more Likely to start Flame wars than my other topic on the bottom...You see, When i heard that SSB 4 was going to have no story, i thought of this ''NOO!!'' at first, then after some time, i thought it could be a GOOD thing, before you say ''Screw this'', think about it, how many characters, stages, assists trophies and anything that is not cutscenes that were cut, just to give us the SSE. Now with it gone, we might have better physics, more unique characters, more stages, improved graphics and maybe an adventure mode. It might sound dumb, but at least.
1. I'm not THAT nostalgic enough to play Meelee or brawl and miss out.
2. Not a tastless someone who plays games JUST for the story and not the gameplay and not getting SSB4 just for no story.
3.Someone idiotic enough to flame or planning to harm sakurai for the Reason of no story and not realize that it's better than no reason at all.
There, some reasons that MIGHT'VE rustled your jammies or Made you changed your mind about not getting SSB4 (Recommended), either way, i got my flame shield still on. It may not sound like topic, but it's something that i wanted to get out my chest for months. See ya later...

having no story doesn't stop the game from having an adventure mode similar to subspace emissary but with the same reasoning as adventure mode from meelee, that is, you play for playing and not for any kind of story.
me, I'd get SSB4 even if it was a remake of brawl with one or two extra chars and no tripping especially on the 3DS being able to take it anywhere isn't a plus, it's a multiplication by over 9000!

I'm still not convinced that there will be "no story mode". Sure, there might be no cut-scenes, but that doesn't mean there aren't other ways of telling a story. For example, a text based story could work, or maybe the story will be told within the level through characters speaking during play and whatnot, a la Kid Icarus: Uprising.

And anyways, maybe we'll get a long and detailed adventure mode similar to Melee (in terms of each level taking place in a different video game universe instead of a made up one). However, instead of having to complete it all in one go, it will be long and split into levels. You could go to whatever level you wanted as many times as you pleased without having to play through the whole thing like in Melee. And levels could be very diverse. You'd have your standard platforming levels through Super Mario Bros, but you could also have enemy clear levels with games like Punch Out!! (imagine beating each of Little Mac's opponents), and mix it up with a level based on Wario Ware (clearing Microgames like on the Brawl course). Maybe the end of each Universe's level(s) would have a big boss to face - the level based on SMB could have a large Bowser, the level based on Starfox could have a battle with Andross at the end on top of the Great Fox, the end of the pokemon level could result in an encounter with the Champion of the Elite Four (you must defeat all six of their Pokemon). I wouldn't mind if a feature like this replaced the story mode, as long as it was very extensive with a lot of levels representing a lot of different games.

You're right. It's not. people don't really tend to play Smash Bros for the story, and even those who like single player tend to prefer the less plot heavy modes like classic, adventure (the Melee style) and all star.

Heck, give me an adventure mode with actual Nintendo themed worlds, characters, bosses and other things, and I won't miss the story from Brawl for a milisecond.

I would like to see the return of Adventure Mode from Melee. I played that enough, and each time it was different even though it was the same. In Brawl, I never wanted to replay the Subspace Embassy once I beat it, it felt like it would be a chore, whereas the first time it was wonderful.

I'd like to see an Adventure Mode similar to Melee's, but with more emphasis on visiting and exploring the Nintendo worlds, and a balance between platforming stages, battles, and boss battles.

Who played Brawl for the story? The lack of cutscenes is unfortunate, but as long as the gameplay of the multiplayer is fine, I have no problem with the game.

Your reasoning is very weak. SSE being cut doesn't mean the inclusion of anything else. It doesn't mean anything except that SSE was cut.

Not sure why you dedicated half of your post to insulting others though. Felt a trifle unnecessary.

So Anakin kneels before Monster Mash and pledges his loyalty to the graveyard smash.

Well, they HAVE to do SOMETHING to fill up the empty disc space if they took out SSE.
Besides, the insulting part is supposed to be unrealistic, who would buy a game just for the story? right...right?!.......oh
