When Miyamoto-san told the team to remove most of the story elements from Paper Mario Sticker Star. The wonderful stories were so vital a part of the first two Paper Mario games. They were among my very favorite games. I haven't even bothered to play Sticker Star.
When Yoshi made the ultimate sacrifice by throwing Mario upwards so he could reach the platform and save the princess while he fell down the abyss and hit the cold hard ground below.
When Link rides home at the end of Twilight Princess (after credits). I choke up every time. The music is just terrific. Also when Midna says goodbye at the mirror of twilight is touching too.
I came here to say this. This game's ending probably made me feel more than any other games ending. It's too bad the rest of the game didn't make me feel much. Midna is the best female character to grace the Zelda franchise and possibly one of my favorite female game characters ever, yet despite this, it was really hard for me to get into and enjoy this game. I only really started liking it in the second half. The first half and overworld were too bland. The ending? Best Zelda game ending there is. It was touching.
