Hey all, sorry I haven't been on.

So I am sure some of you have heard of Eyeshield 21 the TV series. And I have been busy watching the episodes and they are fantastic and me being a football fan really makes me happy that there is a Japanese anime about football and I just can't get enough of the show ! I looked up Eyeshield 21 on Google.com and found out that Japan has Eyeshield 21 for Nintendo Wii and I looked around for the game in America and nothing at all came up because it isn't here. I am really disappointed and hope that the game will come to Nintendo America, PlayStation and Microsoft XBox Knect, I think that would be so awesome, I looked at the screen shots and I loved what I saw and I also think a lot of Americans would buy the game. The manga is really good as well. I just found out about the manga so time to start buying Eyeshield manga!

Please let u know what your thoughts are on this anime, manga and game, characters and etc .

I love the anime and the manga! Unfortunately I don't think the game would ever come to America because it has relatively few fans here. It's pretty sad but anime seems to be dying out around here. 5 years ago you could watch various animes on tv with new episodes weekly. Now there's maybe 1...or less (I don't have anime network though). The only anime games that still come over regularly are Dragon Ball, perhaps the most popular anime ever. Tons of anime games are made, but few cross the ocean...to us anyway. That said, an Eyeshield game sounds like more fun than Madden to me. I wish it would come over.

BTW, the Eyeshield anime was actually translated and shown in America for a few weeks but was cancelled for lack of interest (though I loved it). The NFL even had their hands in it. I watch it subbed on Crunchyroll. Also, if you really want to support Eyeshield you should buy the manga rather than read it online (unless the website actually pays Jump to have it; most don't but I honestly don't know for sure).

An anime about football?

Is that how the Japanese see football?!

Yeah I want to buy the manga, I don't plan on reading it all online. But I need a job and I need to find it at book stores... All the Book stores closed down except 1 and they don't have the manga T_T. And I have been looking at some football games to buy and I almost bought Madden today but something told me to wait and I just found this game but if I can't get it in America I will order from Japan, because it looks awesome! And yeah a lot of people don't even know what anime is, like today my dads student saw me watching the Anime and she said why are you watching a cartoon and I said this isn't a cartoon its anime and she said what the heck is that? So I had to explain to her what it was. I think the only popular anime is Naruto because every person knows that anime but when I mention Eyeshield 21 they say what is that?

But when I start attending college my room will be filled with Eyeshield toys, manga and DVDS!

@TokyoRed, You won't understand unless you watch the anime or read the manga. Also yes it did not as much as other countries but America has fans but we need more people to purchase the Eyeshield products so we can get more Eyeshield items and games here in America

@TrueWiiMaster, you mean the NFL seriously promoted Eyeshield 21? Snesh, how could I have missed that!

I wish that the anime companies in Japan would make a hotter basketball anime as I didn't like Slam Dunk AT ALL! I love Basketball but they need to create a better Basketball anime with a bit a mythos to it. I'd love if it was produced by the people behind Blue Exorcist and Disgaea as I love the execution of those animes.

I had never heard of Eyeshield 21 until the summer of 2007 when I was seriously frustrated with the lack of anime on American television. I was looking around for One Piece and Naruto episodes when I stumbled across Eyeshield 21 but it wasn't my cup of tea as I didn't like the fact that the animation wasn't as flashy as that of Naruto but then I gave it a second chance after I saw how AWFUL the animation of Slam Dunk was. Man, I still can't stand Slam Dunk. That is outright sad. We need another basket ball anime with polished effects and well excited animation.

I do wish they had a better basketball anime rather than that Slam Dunk.

Another sports anime I love is Prince of Tennis. Eyeshield 21 and Prince of Tennis are really great

Hmm...I tried watching Prince of Tennis but that also was so mundane and run of the mill. If there were an anime about Serena Williams or an animated Tennis show period with a stylistic art style similar to that of Panty and Stocking or Skullgirls then man, you know I'd sit all down and watch that.

I don't know if they actually advertised it, but they were involved in the importing of the anime for the brief time it lasted.

Also, there is an anime about basketball other than Slam Dunk. It's available on Crunchyroll as Dear Boys. The name is pretty weird, but if its the anime I think it is (I bought a DVD years ago called Hoop Days that appears to be the same thing; it was pretty good, though a little too serious for my taste). It's not that long at 26 episodes and you can try it for free so why not? Though personally I really like Slam Dunk, not as much as Eyeshield, but that's only because Eyeshield is the best sports anime ever! Prince of Tennis is pretty good, but I always got distracted by the super long limbs and enormous middle schoolers. Has anyone tried Whistle?

I have seen Dear Boys on Crunchy Roll but I never looked at it, now that you have told me it is about basketball I have to check that out for sure! To bad there are only 26 episodes.

Prince of Tennis can have some boring episodes and frustrating as well, that's when I like to skip the episode but I noticed Eyeshield 21 can have some boring episodes as well but its very rare! And that's what I like! Another thing about Eyeshield 21 every episode makes you excited and keeps you interested in the anime and you don't want to stop watching and that's what I like to see in a Anime I think that really makes a good Anime always keeping you interested in it. Naruto is good but it doesn't keep me interested like Eyeshield 21 does.
