I actually just went to a "cupcake shop" for the first time ever. It was crammed-full of high school chicks. I felt both awkward and a desire to be a high school dude at the same time. At any rate, I was there with my kids, wife, mom, and mom's goddaughter. I ordered a dozen cupcakes (2 for each of us) and the bill came to just under $50.
I'm not sure what was more ridiculous: them charging $50 for a dozen cupcakes or me paying $50 for a dozen cupcakes. At least they were yummy. (but had too much frosting)
I love to bake cupcakes (though considering I don't like icing, I think they could be considered muffins) every now and then. I like to "experiment" with the recipes MWAHAHAHAHA-ah? oh sorry.
