I've been playing some FPS demos with my PS Move, and I noticed there's quite a bit of lag and drift with the pointer controls. I never noticed this problem with Wii FPS games, the pointer was always quick and accurate.
Is this a problem with the Move controller, or just sloppy game design?

I love it how you blame Sony straight away almost all the time.

But I'm just like
Can I just like, hang off the back of your horse
And can you go a little faster?!

Not blaming Sony, the lag is just more noticeable with the Move controller. The Wii's pointer is quick and accurate, because the sensor bar's IR light allows the Wii to track more precisely.
With the Move, I usually have to set the pointer sensitivity to maximum to get the same type of quick response as the Wii.
So, are you looking for help with your Move pointer lag, or are you just here to complain about the tragic whims of Sony's failure based on a slight comparison between two different controllers? Really, be more precise with your posting.

Maybe your brain is just lagging because of the Sony awesomeness!
... am I doing it right?

There can only be one, like in that foreign movie where there could only be one, and in the end there is only one dude left, because that was the point.
Complaining about Nintendo is easy everywhere. They're not very good at what they do.
True, except for nintendo forums because you tend to get blamed for trolling.
hahahahaahahahahaahaha oh the irony.
Tendoboy you have the worst luck with your... belongings.
It has nothing to do with luck, and EVERYTHING to do with the technology used. The Wii Remote's IR pointer is simply more precise and accurate than the PS Move's glowing ball camera thing.
Dude, I'm pretty sure its because HD consoles experience more lag due to HDTV's doing more of that shnazzy 'HD' processing. I have the same problem on both my LCD and Plasma. Wii games perform pretty great on my LCD with little lag, but then when i play anything on the PS3 it's almost next to unplayable. Everything has a heavy sinking feeling to it.
I did a comparison between Mega Man 9 on the Wii and the PS3, and the difference was night and day. I don't play my PS3 so I could honestly care less. But there's no way i could ever play the Wii U on either of my HDTV's. For the Wii though it's pretty great, not perfect but great nonethessy since it's not HD and it's not doing that extra amount of mega processing!
Anyways, that most likely IS your problem. My advice, next time would be to aim for a Panasonic the next time you hit up an HDTV. Their current 2011 plasma's, the X3, S30, ST30 and G10 models are in the 16ms range. And stay away from those 120hz and 240hz LCD's, those will add even more input lag. I bet if you had a Tube TV by your side the PS Move would work perfectly fine, but then you'd still have to deal with that distracting Purple Orb ball beaming straight in your eyes..
Why do you have a PS3 if you never play games on it? And if you say "I just use it for movies and Netflix", then you'd be better off just getting a normal Blu-ray player.
Anyways, the Wii U is made specifically for HDTVs. I'd never play a PS3 or Wii U on an old CRT TV cause the image would only be in standard resolution. It's a waste of processing power, if you ask me.
Well i got the PS3 as a christmas gift a few years back, played a few or so PS3 games on it and the like but grew tired of it and kept it soley as a Bluray/DVD and music player. I am going to sell it pretty soon and get myself a standard shnazzy bluray player instead though. as i don't like the idea of watching movies on a video game console which i have been for quite a while now.
And who said anything about playing the Wii U on a crt?lol I was just saying that you could do a little input lag comparison between the two for kicks to see the difference. Anyways, I wouldn't even play the PS3 on a CRT considering the PS3 supports 'true' widesceen(unlike the Wii's crappy anamorphic widescreen) HD visuals, Progressive scan and HDMI. the same deal applies to the Wii U. You just gotta do your research and find an HDTV that boasts low input lag which was what i saying in the first place. Somebody would have to be out of their mind to chose playing on an SDTV over an HDTV with the Wii U...lol
All i was saying was that the reason why your Sony Move feels like it's not as precise and laging 'or' your PS3 games weren't performing that well in general dude is because of that extra HD processing(which you obviously don't get with the Wii considering it's ED) which creats a bit more lag in the process.
these input lag results online are soley done for HD consoles. You just happen to have a weaker set when it comes to HD gaming. that's your answer right there bud. When the Wii U hits get a 2012 HDTV that has low input lag. Panasonic is always your best bet because they actually keep 'gamers' in mind as to why their TV's are mostly ideal for gaming on and are considered some of the best.
As for the Wii, it's understandable why somebody would want to use a standard Tube TV for one of those via component cables because you're not really getting that many benifits at all when going HD. I'll admit though, Kirby Return to Dreamland looks gorgeous on my LCD compared to my CRT and even my Plasma. LCD's just give off a bit of a cleaner, clearer and crisper image while delivering amazing brightness, pure white 'whites' and have that 'wow factor' about them....They would be the ultimate tech in gaming if their inherent motion blur/smearing weren't a part of the package. That reason alone is why i can't stand watching movies on them, the same applies for LED. It's Plasma all the way in this case.
Well not many companies are making plasma TVs anymore. Panasonic, Samsung, and (I think) LG are the only ones left. Samsung, LG, Sharp, Sony have all switched to LED, which has a brighter display than plasma and LCD.
That's what it's all about. If you're happy with it, than that's awesome. I'm still not happy with either technology.lol I'm too much of a perfectionist, I guess that's the artist in me haha.
Are you ever on your Wii? I added you over a month ago and you never added me back. Also, re-add me on your 3DS so we can chat on Swapnote.
I've hardly been on the Wii for the past 3 months because i've been on a quest to find the right bloody HDTV to game on, and i'm still not even there yet.lol I haven't touched my 3DS since Donkey Kong in November(awesome game btw! but i will be pretty soon once i get a new set of headphones. I'm not going to risk damaging my 3DS's headphone input again with that head phone dongle adapter which i used to use with my expensive Sennheiser home theatre headphones.
I'm just going to buy a cheaper pair at BestBuy in a day or two that requires no bloopin' adapter hehe. Besides, the 3DS's sound quality is iffy considering the volume is pretty low when using headphones, it's not like i need top of the line stuff here obviously.
Anyways, I've got Mario Kart 7, Super Mario 3D Land and StarFox 64 3D Land still unopened. I just need to figure out this stupid HDTV problem of mine so i can get back on track with everything videogames. lol I've been laging with in the past few months or so aside from the 3DS's Virtual Console. And i know i know, I'll re-add on you on my 3DS tonight and my Wii for sure. I keep forgetting hehe.
I forgot your 3DS and Wii friend codes... I accidentally deleted you cause I didn't think you were going to add me.
